"The area of Tampa Gardens Senior Living was very well-kept. The young lady at the front desk greeted us with open arms as if we were family. They escorted us to different activities they have, whether it was bingo night or movies. The young lady gave us so much literature and information to take home. They showed us around the memory care facility, which was very well-kept and secure. My dad is a wanderer and likes to walk around, but we felt very secure that he wouldn't be in any danger or anything like that. The staffing was amazing. The place was immaculate. They have menus and so many activities that would keep my dad occupied and very busy. We even spoke to one of the nurses there who takes care of these patients with these needs. She was very, very helpful. She speaks multiple languages, which is fantastic, not only English, but she also speaks Spanish. Someone else spoke Filipino, which is fantastic. Somebody else spoke Hindi, who is very well-balanced. We saw the menu, which had a large variety. They had vegan choices and choices for special diets and special needs. It was a very nice menu that we saw. The dining area was very clean and organized."

"It's very beautiful and opulent at The Residence at Timber Pines. The price doesn't seem all that bad although it's a little higher than in most places. To get services for assisted living, you have to take it on an ala carte basis. If you need a tray for your room, it's $5 each time they have to furnish a tray. It's $15 to have someone help you in the shower for 15 minutes. These fees seem outrageous to me. But the employees are very nice. "

"Amilcat Care is a beautiful home. Rose is a professional and very loving and caring. My mother was there for a year before she passed and she was so happy. I highly recommend the facility over many others."

"The Oaks of Clearwater was a high rise. We were very impressed with this one. It was very nice, very clean, and I couldn't find anything that was wrong with it. We did have a meal there, and it was very good. "

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"I would highly recommend Salishan Retirement Living. I like everything I have seen there. It has three floors that are beautiful and clean. I like the staff. I love the residents. I believe that sometimes people turn into vegetables because the facility they're in is not up to par; however, the residents of Salishan are very happy there. They shared their views with me and they were very good. "

"We toured The Barrington Senior Living. It was beautiful. It was super nice. The accommodations were amazing. It was a little too expensive for him. We really enjoyed ourselves. We had a good time when we were there. My dad liked it. The staff went above and beyond and spent a lot of time with us. It was very clean. The apartments were beautiful. They're way better than where my dad's living now. I wish it would have had maybe an enclosed pool instead of just one outside. That would be great for these older people. The rooms were beautiful and huge. They were really big apartments."

"My father is presently at this facility and I am more than pleased. Yes you can be awed by the beautiful grounds by the menu that is like a full restaurant then the apartments which are lovely and kept clean but it is the care everyone walks around saying good morning hello how are you I have direct phone numbers to nurses and to the med techs who go into his room 3 times a day I am very pleased and cannot ask for anything more. My father had a little fall with no injuries they called me immediately when it happened to ensure although he didn't want to go to the hospital and although there was no injuries did I feel like he should go as a precaution of course I did not but to get that phone call and that sense of relief I have no worries. Highly recommended"

"Grand Court is high class but she didn’t want to be in a high rise building. It’s very nice. I believe this is the one that has a water view from the dining room. If you ask me, it’s outstanding! The day I went with her it was raining and clouding but she went again with my brother on a nice weather. The sales girl there was young, nice and professional. "

"Good facility, no bells and whistles, but good services and good food. Highly recommended, especially if your financial resources are pretty limited. "

"Sunstar Village is an awful place. It's small. I think they have like maybe 30 people. They can only handle up to 50, but they are about half full, and I can see why. The place is old and dingy, and they have very limited staff. I found that the security is not very good. They did offer me a private room with a nice bathroom, but everything is older. I met the owner. He was in his office, and he's a young guy. It needs a lot of help. It's pretty run-down. I saw a lot of residents in wheelchairs slumped over. I saw that in every room. I didn't find it to be very inviting or anything like that. The staff was kind of distracted, like she didn't really want to give the tour, even though I scheduled it. She obviously forgot because I showed up and she asked me why I was there. She was nice enough, but not upbeat, just kind of going through the motions. All I saw was the outside place where the smokers go. They have an activity room that doubles as a dining room. They don't have a separate wing for memory care. They mix them all up."

"The Hacienda Village is for people who are 55 and older. You can either buy or rent the trailer or pre-fab home. The one that I am living in is very good. They have all kinds of things going on here like music, fun, and stuff like that. For every holiday or whatever it is, they have parties. Everybody cleans their own place. Management is fine; everything is OK. They do keep up the property and everything. "
