My dad moved into the Royal Oak Nursing Center when he was in rehab. The facility is outdated and worn down. The staff is very friendly, but when you need something, it's hard to get it. We were never given a tour. We were never told where things were or how things were. We will not ever be going back there. We were never given a menu, but they did come around and say what was offered. They have a calendar of activities posted, but I never had anybody come in and ask my dad if he wanted to go and join or anything. That doesn't mean that they didn't. They just didn't when I was there.

I was at Royal Oaks for 12 days for rehab. Their physical therapy department is excellent. I gained more strength and endurance than I have had for the past year. The staff always attended to my concerns and needs as well as those of my family. The occupational therapy, speech therapy and social work staff members were always pleasant and competent while meeting my needs. The dietary department provided a variety of nutritious and appetizing meals. I would recommend Royal Oak, Dade City, Florida for anyone in need of rehab services. The double occupancy rooms are small and the bathroom in each room is too small to accommodate a wheelchair. The outside patient area is lovely and serene.

Very happy with my fathers care at this facility. He was very comfortable and loved the staff. His therapists were very attentive and our family was pleased with programs and staff. Located in a beautiful setting. Also love the outdoor exercise area.

My wife has been with Royal Oaks for about three weeks and she is basically in rehab. I'm satisfied with them, but I had to transfer my wife because they are not a lockdown facility. They told me they were but unfortunately they were not. The facility is old, but it's clean. The food is excellent and the staff are great.
