"This facility was amazing,everyone was helpful and nice. I was visiting a family member and was surprised to see how well he was treated. the staff is very welcoming and have such outstanding attitudes. there is alot of activities to do wich accomadate everyones needs. I do not have one bad thing to say about this place.parking is kind of small but staff makes up for it all. They have unique activities wich include a petting zoo that way patients do not feel lonely. It is very clean and sanitized as that is very important for safety. The patio has comfortable and comforting birds and allow you to rest. The staff are always smiling and have a lot of patience. They listen and try to help with whatever they can. I am defiantly glad my relative is in this facility I am very eased that he is in good hands "

"My mom was in Arbor Hills for around three weeks, and I liked it a lot. I thought the rooms were average and seemed a little bit small but were adequate enough. I thought the staff was wonderful and very caring. "

"My Mom was there for rhabilitation, and as far as these type place go-- Parkway Hills has been theee best-! Truly caring staff & a wonderful, efficient, caring Discharge Planner! The food very decent most of the time. The biggest challenge was the phone situation--as at this time, they do not provide phone lines for each patient's bedside use--and not being able to connect, contact my mom whenever I wanted was very frustrating! The staff did their best to be able to walk a pphone to her when she got calls--however, much of the time, a phone was not available. If my mom were ever to need a place like this for care--we would definitely request and recommend-! "

"I enjoyed my stay at Grossmont because they gave more attention. I thought the food and staff were really great. They were friendly and concerned. They gave good attention to you like when they gave you a shower, they said: "You got to be careful" and they watched so you wouldn't fall. I told them that I was okay when I was by myself, but they were still concerned. There were two people in a room like me and another lady and each of us had our own flat TV and it was up on the wall. It comfortable because it was up and high so if you were laying down, you could still see it. We also had our own little cupboard area where we could put our personal items and also a bed side table. "Country Villa La Mesa Healthcare Center is a smaller nursing home and VA contract facility. It is the only one available for long-term care. My dad has been there for two months now. The level of care is good, so far. The room isn't private, but my dad is fine because he is by the window. They have daily activities inside, but I wish they had more outside activities. The in-house activities are great, and my dad is participating. The food is normal. My dad has a healthy appetite, so he is always looking for more food. The facility’s location is not close to me, and it's small, so I wish there was a little bit more room for my dad to move around in. "

"My mom is in a skilled nursing facility in Chase Care Center. The facility itself is an older building and it definitely needs upgrade. They have small rooms. My mom is in a room with another lady and it is really crowded. Most of the staff is involved with the patients. They work very hard to treat and take care of their patients. "

They had a very nice facility with professional Cali-style landscaping, and a very clean interior with a welcoming atmosphere that was nothing like a "typical nursing home." They were located right next to a hospital, and were within walking distance of a very large park where the elderly could go sit with their visitors. My client had everything nice to say about this facility, from the food to the staff to his treatment - which is the most important part. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in the San Diego area. "

"I found that the higher paid administrative staff were efficient and knowledgeable and always trying to help. The facilities need painting in a more cheerful color other than the usual industrial green and yellow. They did a very good job in keeping the building clean and the folks in charge of repairs and maintenance were quick to respond, initiate and finish a job. Storage area for documents was outside and a little awkward to access. I found that the admin staff liked to interact with the clients and were encouraged to do so, even if it was not their job. The outside area was sufficient and the security was average. I would have liked to see more gardening activities for the seniors so that they could get their hands in the soil and watch their plants grow. I find that gardening is a very good way to relieve tension and at the same time give the clients a feeling of satisfaction and pride in seeing their handiwork grow.I also appreciated that there was no religious prostlitizing going on and the client's privacy was always respected. At holiday time, I enjoyed the staff decorating the building and making all areas as festive as possible. "
