"My cousin is at Country Hills. I have never physically seen it other than the outside of the building and the corridor. It looks like a hotel, so it's very pleasant looking. I didn't smell urine, and it looks like everybody gets a window too. I had a choice of a couple of facilities I could have him put in, and I thought that this facility was one of the better ones, and it's a better location for him. Their social worker calls me every week. We had a medical staff team that all got together and had a meeting with me about him, which I thought was very nice. It was very thorough, and I got to speak with everybody. Also, when they first gave us the assessment, they let me know what their plan was for him, so that was encouraging. They just moved my cousin in. It was still the standard procedure that once you're in a newer facility you have to go through a two-week quarantine, even though he just had it at the hospital. In that quarantine area, there are three people in a room. The staff has given me no problem, and I was able to have Amazon packages and pizza sent over there. Since I can't see him, that's the next best thing. The facility is beautiful. They give him physical and occupational therapy, and it's all covered by insurance at this point."

"I loved this facility for my father ! Everyone was caring and on it. The cna's took good care of the patients there. Jojo is so wonderful she and my father bonded very well and he was always happy to see her she would always come in with good energy and a big smile on her face. She would Always help my father whenever needed. Would recommend !!"

"My mom is in a skilled nursing facility in Chase Care Center. The facility itself is an older building and it definitely needs upgrade. They have small rooms. My mom is in a room with another lady and it is really crowded. Most of the staff is involved with the patients. They work very hard to treat and take care of their patients. "

"I enjoyed my stay at Grossmont because they gave more attention. I thought the food and staff were really great. They were friendly and concerned. They gave good attention to you like when they gave you a shower, they said: "You got to be careful" and they watched so you wouldn't fall. I told them that I was okay when I was by myself, but they were still concerned. There were two people in a room like me and another lady and each of us had our own flat TV and it was up on the wall. It comfortable because it was up and high so if you were laying down, you could still see it. We also had our own little cupboard area where we could put our personal items and also a bed side table. "

"My father was at Country Manor La Mesa. The setting was nice. The staff was about average. He had occupational therapy and physical therapy there. He was also in a respiratory program. It had a nice outdoor area, and the residents could go inside or outside. All of that was fine. They had manicures, pedicures, or haircuts. They had people that come in once a month, and you could sign up on a list to make sure that you get your haircut or whatever when they come in. They had a really good social coordinator. They did lots of things. Every day there'd be one or two different events that would happen there. If you wanted to participate, you could; if not, you didn't have to. He stayed there for three months one time, and then one month another time."

"This facility was amazing,everyone was helpful and nice. I was visiting a family member and was surprised to see how well he was treated. the staff is very welcoming and have such outstanding attitudes. there is alot of activities to do wich accomadate everyones needs. I do not have one bad thing to say about this place.parking is kind of small but staff makes up for it all. They have unique activities wich include a petting zoo that way patients do not feel lonely. It is very clean and sanitized as that is very important for safety. The patio has comfortable and comforting birds and allow you to rest. The staff are always smiling and have a lot of patience. They listen and try to help with whatever they can. I am defiantly glad my relative is in this facility I am very eased that he is in good hands "

"The staff at this facility were amazing. I felt that everyone there were competient and genuinely cared about the health of the patients. However, the whole facility seemed crowded and under-staffed. The grounds and amenities were adequate, but my family had to cram into a very small room just to visit with the family member who was there. I felt that she was receiving good care, but that all of the employees were a bit stressed due to a lack of additional help and assistance. "

"Of all the places we visited in the La Mesa & El Cajon area, Parkway Hills was the best. It is a smaller facility (around 50 beds I think) and felt more like home than the others which were more like hospitals. Susan the Admissions Director was very nice and answered all our questions. Many of the senior staff (Admissions Director, Director of Nursing, etc.) have been there for 10-20 years which I think is a positive sign. They have their own on-site physical rehab program which was also a plus as we knew my mother-in-law needed to rebuild her strength. Most importantly, their most recent California audit survey revealed only one minor issue relating to food storage... The other facilities all had pages and pages of issues, many with complaints from patients of abuse or incorrect drug dosage which is scary!!She's now been there for about 3 weeks and his hoping to be discharged next week. Her experience was very good. Her PT coach, Mike, pushed her very hard but the exercise was rewarding and has built her strength and confidence. The nursing staff is nice and helpful. All of her needs are met there.The only downside is that like many places, the staff get busy and sometimes forget the little things. My mother-in-law has waited hours for a promised cup of coffee or to have her nebulizer cleaned. In the grand scheme of things, these are really minor issues and I suspect we'd experience this at other places too. This was the only factor in giving them 4 instead of 5 stars.Overall we're very happy with Parkway Hills! "

"The rooms are very clean. They have a very conscientious housekeeping staff. The nurses and therapists who cared for my family were so helpful and available to answer our many questions. We were very happy that we chose Brighton Place Spring Valley."

"The staff at this facility is composed of very dedicated and caring people. The facilities are clean, modern, and inviting. The Center has up to date equipment and medical machinery, which provides for a great experience for the residents. iMany of the living spaces have available doors to the outdoor area and patio, which is beautiful. The Center organizes many activities and events for the residents which are fun and varied. The center has a partnership with nearby Universities providing for students to come and interact and care for the residents, which makes for really excellent learning for the students and wonderful relationship development for the residents. This is really the highlight of the center, because even though some of the residents do not receive visitors very regularly, they all are able to become friends with the students and build relationships. I recommend the Lemon Grove Care Center to anybody in the area looking for a wonderful place to live. "

"We liked Ridgeview Health Center. Everything looked good. The person who gave the tour was excellent except the price was almost out of reach. The rooms were very nice and it's got nice windows. If you get a private room, it's $500 a day, and if they go to a semi-private room, it's $420 a day. The rooms were nice. The dining area was also very nice. The place was excellent."
