My wife is in Stanford Court Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center as part of her rehab. It's kind of a temporary stay between a hospital visit and going home or going to a community. She's on an IV twice a day. I like the people the best. They seem very professional, very courteous, and pretty timely, getting there when a call button is pushed. Sometimes I wish there was a little better coordination between activities, like the IV, PT, OT, and showers. It seems like sometimes they're all compressed into a short period of time. When somebody's already tired doing all that in a short period of time, it is difficult. The facility is kept very clean. The nurses and the doctor I talked to there have been very good. The food was not great, but she's OK with it, and they're very good about bringing snacks at times. They try to bring you what you want within their limitations. It's an older facility. The PT and the OT are excellent. There's plenty of activities, like trivia, bingo, singalongs, and music.

I was brought here by EMS from Grossmont Hospital this MORNING. Oter then 2 meals being dropped off... ive called from my cell phone to ask for someone to please talk to me about my plan. No avail. My meds were due at 3 and I called the front desk a few times its 645 and someone really rude told me they will bring them after an assessment....I came with my Doctors instructions. For all the good reviews I feel stupid for picking this place. My bad

Two different family members of mine have stayed at Stanford Court within the past ten years and both were treated with exceptional care, compassion, and respect. The staff here is the best I've seen in a skilled nursing facility (I've visited many friends at other places that couldn't compare to Stanford Court). The physical therapy they provided was great. I was so impressed with their care that I had my 81-year-old cousin transferred by medical transport from a depressing Los Angeles skilled nursing facility to Stanford Court. I knew he would get the care he deserved, and he would be close to our family. When visits were allowed, the staff went out of their way to safely make the arrangements. The nurses and staff here are extremely patient, kind, and professional. The facility is attractive, the staff is superb, and I am eternally grateful for the care and kindness they gave my family!

My mother was at Stanford Court Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. It was an OK place, but I didn't want her being in a hospital setting, and they did some things that I wasn't happy with anyway. I used to eat lunch there with her all the time and the food was OK. Most of the staff was pretty good. The one thing I didn't care for was they didn't want to be inconvenienced. She was there because she fractured her hip. She had a hip replacement and it was hard to get her up, so rather than help get her up to go to the bathroom, they put her in a diaper and stuck a catheter in there for a month. She ended up with kidney infections, and I wasn't happy about that. From what I hear, a lot of places do that because they have so many patients. However, her doctor said to take the catheter out, see if she could go to the bathroom on her own, and to give it at least eight hours. Instead, they gave it about 20 minutes and then they stuck the catheter back in. Other than that, I was pretty happy with them. That was her second time at Stafford Court. We went back there after the first time because it was one of the nicer places.

My mother came to their skilled nursing care after she broke her hip. The therapists were good. The other service was terrible. Many of the aides spoke with heavy Haitian accents, which my mother could not understand. Efforts to get them to speak slowly did not work. They also spoke very loudly in the hallways to each other in Creole, which was very distracting for a 90 year old with the beginnings of dementia. When she pressed the buzzer for help, it could take ten minutes for someone to come. Her roommate waited fifteen minutes for them to help he from the bathroom. The say they meet medicaid standards, but it must be barely. She never saw the admitting doctor after she arrivedd. The social worker and front desk person were both very nice and helped when I asked, but my mother who was bed ridden a lot of the time had problems getting anyone to answer her calls. It took 10 days before they gave her a shower. For some crazy reason they decided to take the stitches out of her hips at 3 in the morning (after three weeks). They gave her no pain meds, went in an incompetent nurse, and it really hurt. Fortunately she made them stop in the middle and the day nurse took them out with no problem. Really, 3 in the morning??? Lastly it seems mainly geared to very old people who will not be leaving, It does have an atmosphere geared to short term rehab.

I spent 17 days at Stanford Court as I had to Iearn to waIk again. I was treated with utmost respect and tended to by the nursing staff, which I can say was exceIIent. One side of this Iarge faciIity are permanent residents; the other are patients recouping from surgery, iIIness, etc. My room was excIusiveIy mine, aIthough there were two beds and I couId see outside in the patio humming birds drinking from a feeder hanging in the tree with fIowers in bIoom aII around the patio.....a very soothing, caIming Iandscape. This faciIity is beautifuI; Outside there are Iarge patios where you can eat Iunch, dinner, etc.with your famiIy and visitors, a beautifuI .koi pond, bird aviary, beautifuI paintings grace the waIIs and surroundings, with a grand piano in the Iobby used by someone every week who gives a short concert. I came directIy from the hospitaI to this faciIity by ambuIance. I can attest to the beautifuI surroundings and most of aII the exceIIent care of the nursing staff. I highIy recommend this faciIity and wouId not even think of going anywhere but Stanford Court if something were to happen to me. Take a tour and find out for yourseIf.

I had him at Stanford Court Skilled Nursing and Rehab. His room is just semi- private. He has a roommate, and it's like a typical hospital room. At first, he wasn’t really happy with the food, but now they are trying to accommodate him.

My mom was at Stanford Court. For that period of her life and her medical circumstances, it was what we needed but I wouldn't like for her to stay there on long-term. Their rooms were like hospital rooms. The staff was excellent though. The activities director, the nurses, and the caregivers were excellent. The food was alright; however, her condition prevented her from really appreciating food.

This is technically a SNF, though some folks are longer term. It's not to be confused with an assisted living, however if you or someone you care about needs care after surgery this place is definately one of the better ones. The food isn't great (par for the course, unfortunately), but the caregivers are very caring, and the place is CLEAN and well-maintained throughout (not just the front reception area). Lots of landscaping, a courtyard with birch trees & a koi pond, large finch cage, fish tank & grand piano in the reception area -- even a little putting green in one side courtyard. Only bad thing thing is that they have only the standard level of staffing for the CNAs, so like virtually all SNFs patients wait a long time for help (like going to the bathroom, etc). The staff once they get there are wonderful, caring, patient & friendly, & able to communicate clearly.

At Stanford Court where I had my mom, the nurses were awesome but the administration at that place was awful. The nursing staff was wonderful, they helped a lot. The activities were really good and the place was clean. The nurses were really good and that was what counted. They took really good care of my mom.
