"I like this facility is because we can coming for visit anytime of the day and we can bring in foods for our relative and feed them. The staffs are very friendly and nice. I saw them many times that they help the elders seem like their own family member. There was one time i witnessed they were helping my grandma doing #2 and #1. They patiently clean up the hold process which make us feel appreciated and confident for our grandma to stay. We have asked our grandma a lot if there were ever happened that any elderly abusive in the facility and she responded "NO". That's the reason why we never transfer our grandma to another facility. Most of the time we stopped by we saw the staffs went around and do the clean up. The only thing we would like the facility to do is to remodel the inside a little bit because it looks kinda old and a little smell. "

"Tarzana Health is a great center. I did like the facility. I liked the way it was designed. There's very easy accessibility and the facility is very clean. A happy environment. The front office people were very knowledgeable, polite and a very welcoming behavior as mannerism is concerned. The rooms were easily accessible. Nice, bright, clean, open, accessible hallways. Access to other support and various eating facilities. Physical therapy areas and things that I thought was nice. They did offer the convenience of patients that could walk on their own. Once they needed some kind of assistance, they have wheelchairs and things of that nature. The staff was very polite, bright and intelligent on how to apply the aspects of a professional nursing care. I did like the way they express the services and their outlook with their patients. They did have some type of work curriculums. I did see that their credentials were posted in a way where people there were wondering whether or not they were professionals, you could easily have access to seeing that part also. The only thing about it is that I thought that this facility wasn't as restricted enough so a person could easily just walk out of the facility. I thought that the people there seemed like they were happy. They were content, they were extremely neat. They have flowers and things in their proper places. Some of the lighting in there, I thought was very good and you could see very well. They have not just one exit but a couple of convenient exits like one towards the parking area which is cool for family members, people coming in and out of this facility. "

"My mom is now at Lake Balboa Care Center. It's an older facility, but compared to another one that I went to, it's much better. However, the staff members seem to lose things quite often, and when you ask for help, you get pushed from one person to another person to another person. It's just hard to get a straight answer sometimes. As for the activities, they have some people that come in and play bingo or play blackjack. They watch old movies and things like that. The dining area is cheerful. There are windows there. The food seems to be OK. Some of the staff members are really nice, and then others not so. I would say most of the people are pretty helpful."

"My mother Josephine Was well taken care of. The Nirses Rosalina, Chonna, Lorraine, Pang and Cnns Flor, Neth and Patty all showed nothing but Love to Mom. Flor was like a daughter to my mother. My Mom loved Flor. Miss Edna the manager was excellent, wonderful and caring anytime I needed to call my Mom she was on it. This facility is Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 🌟 🌟 My mother developed a beautiful family❤️❤️❤️🤗This facility is very clean. "My friend is in Royal Congregate Living. I've only been there once or twice. From the other nursing homes that I've been to, I thought it was very nice. It was fairly clean. The staff was very nice, and they've always been very nice to me. She's in a shared room. One of her complaints is that they are not giving her any physical therapy, although she's very limited. I know in the beginning, they tried to get her into a wheelchair and stuff, but she's very limited. Even when she went in, she couldn't bend her knees. She had spinal cord damage, and they were limited in what they could work with. They didn't have very much of a courtyard. They just had one little room where there was a TV. It was not the best."

"I came here for Rehab during covid. This place was clean I had way more than enough food so those that don't like it are probably on some kind of medication making it hard to taste or maybe it taste badd to them but I'm not on that kind of medication and it tasted fine and every me who's truly more than I could eat. I never rang the nurses bell and had to wait longer than 10 minutes which was only one time. Every other time if I rang the nurses button someone was here within 2 minutes maximum. The formal physical and occupational therapy I Received following my hip joint replacement surgery was excellent quality. My Room and bathroom were kept clean daily even if they did not hear from me for a while someone would pop their head in and make sure I was doing OK and the staff was truly pleasant and loving and I think that makes a success. I leave here tomorrow with a smile on my face."

"My wife is in Canyon Oaks. The staff is very good. The room is very nice. They are two in a room. There is one bathroom for adjoining rooms, so there are four people using the same bathroom. They have activities. She does not do so much of it, but they have bingo and black jack, and they have an outside courtyard you can go. "

"They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their cna staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, but my moms charge nurse seemed not too care as much as her cna, would have preferred someone else. "

"My mom stayed at this facility in the spring of 2011 for three weeks after breaking her ankle. My grandma also stayed there several years back. I am pleased to say that this facility greatly improved from the last time I was there. The staff was much more friendly and attentive to my mom's needs then they were when my grandma was there. The equipment such as the IV and bed was also working properly which was not the case last time. I am also pleased to say that this facility was also very clean and the staff changed all the linens regularly. I have been in other assisted living homes in the San Fernando Valley and this was probably the cleanest one I have been in. The nurses at California Healthcare were always very friendly and never hesitated to help my mom get to the restroom when she requested help. The only real negative from her stay and why I give this facility four stars instead of five is that the rooms were small for people staying in short stay accommodation (there were three to a room) and my mom didn't have enough space to use her walker and therefore get to the restroom on her own. It was also difficult for me to visit her when staff was attending to another patient due to the lack of a place to sit or stand. All in all, I would recommend this facility to friends or other family "

"My husband was a resident of Berkley Valley Post-Acute. They were neglectful of my husband. He had many things going on and they didn't pay attention. The physical therapy people were the only ones that were good. The rest of the staff, I had to bring their attention to everything that was happening. My husband wouldn't eat their food, so I had to go shopping and bring him food, and he ordered food. The food was not good. They did have what they called a rec room where they played bingo or whatever. As far as an exercise room, they had a physical therapy room for the people who were there for rehab and physical therapy. The physical therapy rooms looked fine. They had equipment and I guess I'm going to say three on that. My husband was in a three-men's bedroom, which I thought was terrible. So I'm going to give the rooms a one. They're outrageous, from what I understand the insurance paid and then I had to put him on Medi-Cal, and it seems like I don't know what they charge today, but it's a lot and it seems way out of line. I believe it's $500 a day for a three-bed, for whatever they do, which is nothing. So I have nothing good to say about that facility."

"My grandmother lived at Topanga Terrace Center after contracting an illness. The staff was excellent as my grandfather, mother, and family were allowed what to me seemed like ultimate access to my grandmother. Daily we were allowed to spend as much time as we desired with her. We were encouraged to decorate her room with as many the feelings of home as we could. The staff made a point to get to know us, and in return the lines of communication were open and straight forward.Climate and environment in the facility was always comfortable. As our family spent many hours daily there we found no sense of smell as the assisted facilities of the 1980's used to provide. The facility provided plenty of parking and checking in was a breeze.Holidays and family gatherings at the facility were made possible by the great staff. Reserving the outdoor patio for larger groups was an excellent touch and made events more enjoyable rather than crowding into a room. In my opinion this facility and its staff deserve a high grade. Do to the number of patients it can become a bit crowded walking the halls. If the facility were to be enlarged it would get my highest grade. "

"My husband was at West Valley Healthcare Center. Overall, it was a good place for him to be. The staff was very enthusiastic and cheerful. The facility was very clean. They have a good size parking lot, which is helpful when you're visiting. "

"My mother is at the Casitas Care Center, it's a decent place, and she's being taken care of pretty well. She's currently being rehabbed as much as they can. They have activities and things there for her to do, and she interacts with the staff and other people there. They even did a breakfast thing this morning. The staff members have all been friendly and helpful. Anytime I've ever gone up to ask for anything, they've done it right on the spot. I feel good about them; they've done a nice job. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service we have gotten from them."
