My mom moved into the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging-Eisenberg Village. They have doctors and nurses. They put each person according to their health or mental health, if they have dementia or anything like that. They have a lot of activities. They have hair salons and nail shops. The food is good. They have a church and a temple for all other religions. They have services, and they have music. We tasted the food once because they invited us before she went in, and it was good. My mother is 92 years old, so she's on a special diet, and they take care of her according to her diet. The facility is very clean. They have games, dances, and exercise. It's worth it, and they accept government subsidies like Medicare.

The building is very old, no heat in the bathrooms, rooms range from small, medium and larger for two people. Small closets, hardly room for an easy chair, twin beds. Single rooms are larger but quite costly, almost all end up sharing after a couple years, Ins. helps. Food is awful, now and then we get a good meal. Saturdays are lox and bagel. Not real chefs, don't know the first thing about Jewish cooking, so, I eat out a lot. I'm lucky, having stomach problems, I do need healthy food. I do not recommend this place, except they have a clinic on site and do give you a ride to your Dr., that's the good part. For those that play cards, you'll enjoy it, that's the big activity.

How do they raise $ in the community? Depressing in every way. Old unkempt rooms. Terrible food. Overcharging for the rooms. Minimal socialization opportunities. I regret putting my mother there.

My mother has been living at the Jewish Home for the past 8 years...The care is the greatest and the people that work there are adored by my mother and myself ..Throughout this time she has received amazing care..Her doctors were always the best having been in Los Angeles since 1943..I am proud to say that my mother chose the Jewish Home and she continues to reside there..I am her daughter and love all the people that work there..They are attentive and watch over her when I cannot ..She lives there and I live in Santa Monica..I cannot understand negative reviews since they are on top of it all..Thanks to all those that oversee my dear mother..I am grateful for you all..Phyllis Weiss ....

Excellent facility. Memory care unit has higher than usual staff to client ratios. Unit is very clean and nicely decorated. Grounds provide nice area to walk around in with a lot of statues and fountains to look at. Lot of nice areas to sit and visit in as well.

BEWARE!!! WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS AS ZERO WON'T DO. I WILL REGRET THE DAY I PUT MY PARENT IN THE HOME FOREVER AND AM HAUNTED BY MY POOR CHOICE DAILY. IF ITS HOMELESS OR THE JEWISH HOME FOR THE AGING IN RESEDA CALIFORNIA THEN I GUESS ITS THEM BUT IF YOU HAVE ANYOTHER CHOICE, ANY TAKE IT!!!! WE FOOLISHLY PAID TOP DOLLAR AND GOT INDIGENT CARE FOR MY FATHER! WE ACTUALLY PAID MORE THAN TOP DOLLAR WE SPENT OVER 100K PER YEAR TO HAVE HIM DISRESPECTED, LIVING IN SOILED CLOTHES, ENDURING NUMEROUS INFECTIONS FOR THINGS LIKE HYGENE WHICH WAS NEGLECTED!!! MANY NICE INDIVIDUALS WORK HERE ALONG SIDE MANY LAZY AND DISTURB CO-WORKERS. SHABOS IS A JOKE TO THEM, WORKING IS A JOKE TO THEM...JUST PLEASE TAKE MY WORD AND AVOID THE REGRETS I LIVE WITH...

IT WILL HAUNT ME FOREVER THAT I PUT MY FATHER IN THE JEWISH HOME OF LOS ANGELES. HE LIVED THERE FOR 3 YEARS DURING WHICH TIME HE ENDURED REPEATED INFECTIONS BECAUSE THE STAFF WOULD NOT REMOVE HIS DENTURES AND CLEAN THEM NIGHTLY. HE OFTEN WAS FILITY DIRTY CLOTHES SOILED. HE LOST 14 LBS IN 10 MONTHS AND NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE WAS CONCERNED!!! IF YOU HAVE ANY, I REPEAT ANY ALTERNATIVES TO PUTTING A LOVED ONE IN THE JEWISH HOME FOR THE AGING TAKE IT!!! I LIVE WITH DEEP REGRET FOR NOT LOOKING HARDER.

My grandmother is a resident at this facility and I visit her bi-monthly. She shares a room with another resident. The room sizes are average and each one has its own bathroom. The resident halls are well kept and look tidy. The staff are nice and always greet me when I arrive. Also, its nice that there is a guard gate at the front of the building to know that the seniors are well protected. My grandmother really enjoys all the great activities that they provide at this facility. There are many excursions that are organized by this facility. I know that the home has setup a group trip to go see the movie, "Hugo," in 3D, which my grandmother will be attending soon. Additionally, there is an arts and crafts room where my grandmother paints ceramics, canvasses, and sews. The only negative comment that I can make is that the food could be better. I have attended a few holiday dinners and I'm always disappointed with the food. They must be only able to cook with limited ingredients. My favorite part of the facility is the patio / sculpture garden area. It's well maintained and beautiful.

The center is great, well maintained and the staff attentive. The grounds are pretty and there were lots of activities. The rooms are average size, I don't know how large other facilities are but they seemed adequate.
