"My sister is in Magnolia Gardens. They are really good with her. They are starting to get her walking. She is improving. Her room is pretty nice. They clean it every day. They have plenty of parking spaces. They are a long way from the shopping place. They have a nice craft room."

"Country Villa Sheraton is not horrible, but it is very short-term. It is for rehabilitation until my aunt can come home. The food isn’t great. The people are very nice. It is not the very best, but it is not horrible. I saw that they had something like a nail day, some socials, and some music. The staff is nice, and they are attentive. It is like a little close-knit society, and there are all different kinds of people. "

"The staff was exceptional at Ararat Nursing Home. They were absolutely top-notch. They gave us a complete tour of the facility even if the waiting list is very long. The place is super clean. "

"My father is pretty comfortable right now at Ararat Home. They are rated as the top in the nation. It's perfect, very clean, very efficient, and very organized. The nurses are consistently the same. The adults don't have a lot of variation of people every day that they have to deal with. They don't have to explain them over and over. The nurses are particular to only one patient, and they know how to work with them and they work with them on a regular basis. They're right on top of things, very caring, and show a lot of respect. The food is made to the requirement of each patient. If somebody is diabetic, they don't get the same food as somebody who is not diabetic. They watch out for the care of the individuals. The food is excellent and very clean. They know my dad is on a special diet; they make sure that they accommodate his special diet so his blood sugar and blood pressure don't fluctuate. I'm very happy with them."

"My sister was in this facility for 4 years, until her passing. She was completely and totally unresponsive and not able to communicate in any way. My brother in law visited EVERY day and I was there approx once a week until the month before her death when I was there every day as well. The facility is immaculate, the staff responsive, sensitive & caring to both the patients and the families. I CONSISTENTLY saw the highest level quality of care I have EVER seen in any facility and, unfortunately, I have had (too) much experience with skilled nursing facilities. The patient was kept very clean and there was ONE incident of infection in the entire 4 years (she had a trache & was on a feed tube)--a statistic virtually unheard of in such a setting. Keep in mind that the patient was unable to advocate for herself in any way (including using a buzzer). I cannot say enough about this amazing facility. "

"Panorama Gardens was fantastic. I wish the place was more broad, but you got to do what you have. They were very professional. They know what they're doing. The only problem is that they might have to get more specialists from time to time if you go in there, because my mom got better with their treatment, but the underlying health problem that she had, they couldn't see it. For example, my mom had kidney failure and she had pancreatic complications, which sad to say, the nurses don't see it. That's the only problem I believe that can be fixed and improved in time. Other than that, they were nice to me. They had activities. They had multiple types of coloring books, brain activity courses, a lot of socialization, and events as well. They give open access to the patients to reach out to their families and loved ones. They have freedom of movement to go around to the facilities to exercise and stretch out. They did the best thing they can do as a rehab facility. I don't really have any cause against it."

"Astoria Nursing and Rehab Center was really great. I was really impressed. They took great care of my mother. It was clean and it smelled nice. The staff was attentive. They have adequate parking, and it's right off the freeway. The food was really good. They were very receptive. They have activities and she enjoyed those. The physical therapy was great. Everybody was real positive. They play music, and they have other senior activities."

"My husband was recently a resident at Windsor Terrace for ten days. The care he got was outstanding. The nurses are very caring. The physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as the wound specialist are excellent. The rooms are clean and well kept. The nurses are responsive, coming quickly after they are called. Previously, my husband was in two other rehab facilities that did not measure up to Windsor. Everyone at Windsor tried hard to make our whole family feel comfortable and at ease. Muty really went the extra mile. She treated us like we were her own family. Demetrius (PT), Erlinda (OT), and Estella went out of their way for us. Administrators Ana Tolossa and Cristina Castro couldn't have been more welcoming. They did whatever they could to bring about a smooth transition. They were kind and empathetic. We are very grateful that we found Windsor. "

"My mom is now at Lake Balboa Care Center. It's an older facility, but compared to another one that I went to, it's much better. However, the staff members seem to lose things quite often, and when you ask for help, you get pushed from one person to another person to another person. It's just hard to get a straight answer sometimes. As for the activities, they have some people that come in and play bingo or play blackjack. They watch old movies and things like that. The dining area is cheerful. There are windows there. The food seems to be OK. Some of the staff members are really nice, and then others not so. I would say most of the people are pretty helpful."

"I thought Jewish Home (Grancell Village) was the best one my husband had ever been in. We were not Jewish, but it was one of the best. The care there was unbelievable. They had entertainment and they had excellent food. Most of them were regular food, but they were very good. The whole thing was great. You could go outside. They had a beautiful garden area, you could sit on one of the tables, and they had several picnic tables there. They actually had a store for the visitors to be able to buy sandwiches or something for themselves. "
