My mother was at this facility for nearly 3 weeks. On SEVERAL occasions she was left soiled for hours on end (reported to me by the afternoon CNA). The administrator, social worker and 2 CNAs took a report but nothing was ever done. Days after this incident it happened again. Her roommate informed me she was concerned because of the lack of attention given to my mother. Besides dymentia, she is unable to ambulate and relies on others for assistance, even in the most basic needs. The food was not only bad, but if you loved one falls asleep, it is taken away and the patient goes without eating for the day. They lost her clothing, blanket, and other items given to the laundry personnel and never made it back. She is 94 years old and slept with only a sheet. She was constantly cold and wet. The CNA stated she was soiled all the way up her back to her neck, arms, and bed. She was ignored by the CNA. The charge nurse indicated there is 1 nurse and CNA for every 20 patients. NOT GOOD. She was given the wrong doses of medications. The doctor NEVER bother to call me or return my calls. I was never given a status of her condition, diagnosis or prognosis. IF YOU TRULY LOVE YOUR RELATIVE(S), DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.

My husband was just transferred into this facility. He left with glasses and no one knows what happened to them. He tried to get up and fell, we were not aware of it until I went into visit and he kept holding his side. I asked what happened he said he fell and thinks he hurts his ribs. The nurse asked me if I knew about it. I didn’t. I had to request an ex ray. 9 days in there and he hasn’t had a shower. The food is delivered and he has a choking problem. They’ll never know if someone chokes or not, they don’t even poke their head in. I was asked to take him home because he hasn’t shown any progress in the nine days he’s been there, but the charge nurse stated he needs 24 hour care and to take him home and pay out of pocket because the insurance won’t pay for in home care. The initial plan was he should be there up to three months for therapy. She stated the insurance wants him out so they will discharge him this week. A skilled nursing facility is to assist and help their patients. This one does not. They go hours and sometimes all day with nothing to drink. They asked me a few times to apply for medi-.cal. I’m shocked that this place is open. It smell worse than an animal kennel and the place looks awful. Unless your desperate don’t do it. Staff. No comment!

My mother is at the Casitas Care Center, it's a decent place, and she's being taken care of pretty well. She's currently being rehabbed as much as they can. They have activities and things there for her to do, and she interacts with the staff and other people there. They even did a breakfast thing this morning. The staff members have all been friendly and helpful. Anytime I've ever gone up to ask for anything, they've done it right on the spot. I feel good about them; they've done a nice job. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service we have gotten from them.

My friend had (2) critical needs during his rehabilitation. #1 was pain management & #2 was attention to proper draining of a urinary catheter. Many requests for pain medication & flushing of the catheter were ignored for an hour or more, causing him to suffer in level 9 & 10 pain, starting on day one & continuing for weeks. Either they are grossly understaffed or they don't care. They also misplaced his personal belongs & personal medications.

We could barely find one employee who spoke english here. Most of the employees were not helpful. Two employees spent their time trying to hit on my girlfriend while we were visiting with my sick grandmother. Sick patients remained unattended, wandering the halls. Grandmother was curtained off in a room away from a window. The room was sectioned into three parts, and no one had view to natural sunlight. This is pretty important for people who are stuck in bed. The food served was a major complaint by my grandmother.
