My husband was a resident of Berkley Valley Post-Acute. They were neglectful of my husband. He had many things going on and they didn't pay attention. The physical therapy people were the only ones that were good. The rest of the staff, I had to bring their attention to everything that was happening. My husband wouldn't eat their food, so I had to go shopping and bring him food, and he ordered food. The food was not good. They did have what they called a rec room where they played bingo or whatever. As far as an exercise room, they had a physical therapy room for the people who were there for rehab and physical therapy. The physical therapy rooms looked fine. They had equipment and I guess I'm going to say three on that. My husband was in a three-men's bedroom, which I thought was terrible. So I'm going to give the rooms a one. They're outrageous, from what I understand the insurance paid and then I had to put him on Medi-Cal, and it seems like I don't know what they charge today, but it's a lot and it seems way out of line. I believe it's $500 a day for a three-bed, for whatever they do, which is nothing. So I have nothing good to say about that facility.
