We toured the assisted living at Valley Vista Senior Living. It was very modern and the bathrooms were very convenient especially for someone in a wheelchair to navigate so that was nice. The facility itself was very quiet and seemed well-kept. It was certainly one of the places that we were interested in exploring further and my dad seemed to enjoy so it was a place that we were going to highly consider. Unfortunately, due to the location, it's not going to be something that we can pursue now. The person who toured us was great. She was very informative and very attentive. She's followed up a few times, but she hasn't been overly aggressive. She's just checking in to see how things are going because she knew we were going to take our time. She presented the community very well too. The dining area seemed very similar to the other places we visited. It's like a pseudo restaurant style with more regular and fixed menu items, as well as some specials weekly or daily. It seemed like there was a good amount of variety too. We just didn't have a chance to check the food. The place looks nice, and the rooms were nice and spacious. They have salon services, outings, and activities. They had all the stuff that you would normally expect. They even have transportation, which is nice. They have onsite therapy, which is another thing that we are looking for. Overall, the facility has all the points we were looking for.

I like everything about Valley Vista Senior Living. Everything was excellent. The only thing I didn't like about it was that they didn't have a place where I could go outside and enjoy the fresh air. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. In terms of cleanliness it was excellent. The apartment was very nice and very roomy. They had a very nice dining room. They have a really nice exercise room, a nice salon where you can get your hair done, and they have arts and crafts and stuff.

I chose Valley Vista Senior Living for Mom because of the cleanliness and its beautiful surroundings. The area outside is ugly but the inside is a different world. They have physical therapy, they have a gym, and they do a lot of activities. They have a large selection of meals. They do outings and they're welcome to go. They can make requests for places they want to go. They have an outdoor walking area which is enclosed within their facility on the outer perimeter, so it gives a lot of options. It has a nice lobby and several living rooms on each level of the building. The staff was very attentive.

I was very surprised by Valley Vista Senior Living. It's new and it is very well laid out. The rooms themselves were big enough and nicely laid out. The ones on the higher floors had a beautiful view at night of the city of Los Angeles. It was up high enough, and no buildings interfering with the view. It was very nice. They have outings twice a week. They have a community room where they have exercise classes every morning on movement and circulation and things like that. They have limited gym facilities. They have another community room which looked like a hotel lobby with a bar, and everything there was inviting. They have a game room, a card room, and a reading room. They also have movie nights.

Valley Vista Senior Living has only been open for about three years now. It's a very nice facility. The caregivers seem to be very good with all of the residents and they take very good care of my husband (who is in the memory care). He's happy with it. The food they give him is very good. They give him snacks and do a lot of activities with him. They play bingo or poker, toss a ball around, color pictures, and do word games. They try to work with their minds to keep them as sharp as possible.
