We chose Greenway Villas for Mom because of the layout of the facility, it is a multiplex that is all rent style one level, the cost is a little more reasonable, and the location. Once the unit is available and we are seriously interested, then we can go in person. Prior to that, it's just online pictures. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It's a 55+ community and they have activities, but they don't have any medical care available. They have morning coffee and they have a little coffee shop that they have set up in one of their units, so they can gather for visitation. They do outdoor picnics, and they have a gazebo area where they have outdoor activities when the weather permits. We were looking for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit. Their facility only has one bathroom, but it will work for us with our situation, and because of the cost difference, we chose to go that route. Other than that, I really liked that it's a well-maintained property. It's very inviting, more like a home instead of an apartment. They don't do food. One of the biggest things that attracted us was the ease of getting in and out. Parking is at your front door, there's a little patio area for her as well as a little fenced front porch, and it's all maintenance free exterior.
