"The one we liked the best right now for what they can do and what the price is, is Trustwell Living of Overland Park. It's a nice community. For the memory care, they have a single room with the bathroom attached to it. They had no carpeting. It was hardwood floors. It seemed like they were well-staffed each time I was in there. I was there during a meal and it's important to be there around the time that they would be serving a meal so that you can see what the staff is doing and that was a positive. The hallways were very spacious. You would never have a reason to worry about more than one wheelchair going down a hallway or if they were going in opposite directions. The bathrooms were set up well. The showers were large enough to where they could accommodate even a wheelchair, but they also had benches that you were able to sit on. Some of the memory care units can determine if someone is falling or whatever, but they did not have one of those. It wasn't the determining factor, but how well the attendants, nurses, CNAs, and everybody responded and acted with the residents, that was important for me. They didn't have a separate wing where they had physical therapy. They had it right there close by and had it all set up in stations. I thought that was very impressive. I didn't have a meal there, but it smelled good."

"Armour Oaks Senior Living was nice and clean. The staff was very good. They apartments we saw were like studios. They had an exercise room, a dining area, a gathering area, and an activity area. They had a lot of activities."

"The staff here was very nice. She took my dad around in a wheelchair because he couldn’t walk very far. The dining room was nice. The do have assisted showers if they need help, and they did have 3 meals a day. "

"I toured Mission Chateau. It was clean, well-managed, and in good shape. Everything was nice. It was well kept up and it was at a high level of quality. I had a hamburger there and it was not burnt."

"I took an in-person tour. They didn't have a swimming pool, which I would like; however, they're very impressive. The only thing I don't like about it is where it's located. They don't have too many people in it yet, but it's very impressive as far as the facility is concerned. The staff was very nice."

"My sister and I toured Garden Villas. We were both so very impressed with the overall facility. The staff we encountered were friendly and kind to us and the residents there. We were fortunate enough to view a 2 bed room unit which was clean, freshly painted and inviting. The facilities at Garden Villas provide opportunities for social interaction, physical development and mental stimulation."

"Trustwell Living at Mission Springs seemed to have a very good relationship with their patients. One of them came up and even gave them a good review without me even asking, so I believe that they have a very good relationship with their patients. They had a very nice dining room. The person that guided me was very knowledgeable and very personable. I enjoyed the visit. The place was extremely clean."

"The property is beautiful and very clean. The rooms are lovely and well laid out for various levels of mobility. The nursing staff are incredibly patient and I very much appreciate that the staff make every effort to keep residents active, healthy with lots of social opportunities. There’s much variety in programming in the building. My grandmother, who spent her first 95 years in a single family home, has been made to feel welcome and appreciated."

"Parkway was beautiful when you go in. The entry way, they were painting it. There is a great room there with a fireplace, and that’s really nice. They were all so polite and so mannerly. I understand there is someone there 24/7. We saw the 1-bedroom, and it has a little kitchen, it has plenty of closet space, and the bedroom was a nice size. It also was on ground floor, and it has a little area with a sliding door where you could go out with your little patio thing. It was very handy-equipped which we definitely would need. The bathroom was enormous, which seemed to me like a little bit of wasted space, but I’m sure there were some reason for that. When they do get of eating facilities in the cafeteria was a really nice set up. White linen type, and you can order anything from the menu from 7AM until 7PM, if you chose to eat there. It wasn’t really, they have certain meal times, but it’s really available anytime. They were having the dining room on the 3rd floor temporarily, and I think they had some problems with rain so they were behind getting in open, and then something flooded and so the kitchen part didn’t get all the equipment in as soon as they thought. The hair salon hadn’t opened yet, but it was very nice. "

"It was nice. One of the things that I liked about it was that everything was on the first floor. So, it's easily attainable. Plus the location was in between where all the family members live. I liked that the one-bedroom apartment was at a lower cost for independent living. The staff was excellent."
