"I've visited this facility and place was average. They provide an average service to their residents and their staff were fine. It's nice but not too good. "

"My father has been in Life Care Center of Grandview for three weeks. I like the involvement of the staff. I haven't had any issues when it comes to the nursing staff. Everybody seems helpful. The thing is, every time you go into memory care, you have to find somebody to let you in the unit, and that's kind of difficult because some people are not around, so you have to walk around the whole building. But other than that, I have no complaints. I'm pretty happy with his care. The dining area looks very cozy and comfortable. They have TV and games. My father seems to like the food. He's in a private room by himself. He seems to like it. He has his own TV. They let me move the furniture around to kind of make it more comfortable for him. My father goes to physical therapy and speech therapy. They play games with them at 3:00 every day, and sometimes he participates. They kind of let him walk down if he wants to, and they don't pressure him to go. And they have a music time where they kind of like dance and stuff."

"I have visited this facility often and have found it to be full of caring people! The building ma not be as new as some but the bottom line is the care a loved one receives and they do it very well. "

"My son was recently diagnosed with severe Cerebal dysfunction. After a month on life support he was transferred to an inner-city facility. While the inner-city facility made every effort to assist my son in his recovery, I recognized he needed more personalized attention. Timberlake Care Center was suggested. My son in state of confusion was extremely reluctant with this transition. With much encouragement and prodding, he finally agreed to give it a chance. The staff welcomed him with open arms and every effort was made to make him feel at home. I could not have asked or prayed for a better place to place him. Five stars to Timberlake Care Center and the staff. There has been a complete transformation in my son. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is apprehensive about placing a family member in extended care. Cheers to Timberlake and the staff. You guys are doing a FABULOUS job!!!! "

"My mother went to The Healthcare Resort of Leawood when she got out of the hospital. She was only there for three nights. They had nursing care and assisted living was in another wing. They had a movie room. The staff was OK, but they kept changing. She wasn't impressed with the place. They had happy hour, but she didn't participate in it. The staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating to her. She didn't like the food."

"I HAVE HAD A LOVE ONE AT VILLA ST JOSEPH FOR MANY YEARS NOW. AND AS YOU ALL KNOW MANY NURSING HOMES ARE GOING THROUGH MANY CHANGE AND ARE SHORT OF STAFF. I HAVE FOUND THAT EVEN THOU THIS NURSING HOME IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME CHALLENGES MY MOTHER HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL CARE FOR AND THE DIETARTY DEPT. GOES OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GET HER WHAT EVER SHE WANTS , THE ACTIVITY GIRL ON SKILLED II DOES AN EXCELANT JOB . THE ACTIVITY DIRECTOR HAS GONE OUT OF HER WAY TO KEEP THE BUILDING DECORATED FOR ALL HOILDAYS AND KEEPS THE CALENDAR INTERESTING. AND THE SOCIAL WORKERS ARE TOP NOTCH. THE THERAPY HERE IS GREAT. I WOULD NOT GO ANY WHERE EALSE. . "

"Village Shalom was very nice. They had therapy for those who needed it. They also had swimming pool therapy. They kept it at a very high temperature, and they had equipment that can lower anybody into it. It was an excellent place. "

"The nursing home provided everything for my grandparents. The facility was nice and clean. It held two separate wings; one side for the able and another wing for the disabled. The facility even provided apartment style living. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even got my grandmother walking again. All in one place, she got physical therapy, great food, and even fun dance lessons in the afternoon. My grandfather also was able to participate in game nights, movie nights, and local show viewings. I thought that he would not like going to the nursing home, but he loves it. They even allow my grandparents to have personal time. They share an apartment style room, and when my grandmother starts to have complications, the disabled wing provides her with another room for 24 hour care. However, when my grandfather is tired of eating the facility meals, he can just easily go next door to the local grocery store. He can even request a staff to get items for him to put in his apartment. I was so happy when I visited this facility. I knew my grandparents would be well taken care of. The staff members told me that my grandparents are always having fun. My grandmother can even go to her religious services again. I am so happy with their improvement since they've been in this home. I would recommend this home to anybody! "

"Clarendale of St. Peters was a beautiful place, but they were just out of our price range. It was well-kept, well maintained, and had friendly staff. It was nice. It's really a great facility to go to."

"My wife was at John Knox Village Care Center. It's a very nice facility. They had an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, speech therapist, all on staff who saw her daily, Monday through Friday, but not on the weekends. It's crowded. They were all single rooms, but they were full to the brim. They had 40 beds in the rehab center, and they were constantly full. They had afternoon activities, Monday through Friday. Mornings were pretty much tied up with the therapy sessions, so they have limited the activities in the morning. They have two small common spaces."

"My sister was in Mid-America for rehab, and everybody was wonderful. The food is wonderful, the care is great, and the staff is caring. She was treated very fairly."
