"My dad is in Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, a long-term care facility. We like their care and service. They're very attentive, they're taking great care of my dad, and there's been great communication. I've only been inside the front office because they're under quarantine. The outside is nice, it's decorated for fall. From what I've seen, it seems to be clean, pretty, very homey, and very comfortable. Every time he asks or I ask for something, we seem to get answers pretty quickly. They're great at returning my calls and seem to be easy to work with. My dad says the food is good. I am very satisfied with how he's being treated there."

"I selected Beautiful Savior Home. It has both nursing home and assisted living. My mother is in their skilled nursing. I think it's very homey and very nice, which is why I chose this facility. It was less institutionalized than other skilled nursing care area that I had seen. The staff is excellent as far as I can tell so far. Basically, Mom is sight-challenged, so she doesn't do many activities, but they do a sit program for fitness and have things like bingo, meals, and crafts. The food is very good. Meals are not on a regimented timeframe and have a wide range of time when the residents can be in the dining area to eat. "

"My mother was in the facility recently 2018. It has changed management and the DON is excellent. The nurses are happy and treat the patients with great care and kindness. They have plenty of nurses to help, the medications were on time and without incident. I cant say enough about the great nursing staff there. I even saw how they treated the other patients. They told me their Motto was that they are a guest in the patients homes and work there, not the patients living where they work. The nursing staff was wonderful! The building was dated, it looks like they are remodeling it. The physical therapy was excellent, kind and caring, excellent! "

"I had a chance to visit and tour Crown Care Center while visiting a friend from our church, who was living there. The facility was a beautifully decorated in the main rooms and halls. The rooms that I saw of the patients were fairly large and comfortable. The day I was there the residents were taking part in some entertainment in the main living room. Many seemed to be having a good time. The staff was very attentive to the patients, making sure everyone was doing well, while the entertainment was there. The staff seemed very caring. There was a bingo game which the residents could take part in. The staff seemed to take great care in helping the residents enjoy themselves. I asked my friend, who was a resident , if the food was good. She said it was very good. She thought it was a good place. But she was very lonely and was glad when anyone could visit. The only thing I noticed that was a problem, but could happen in any facility,, my friend had got her wheel chair backed up in her bathroom. She was stuck and getting a little excited. It was a good thing I visited that day, because I walked in on the incident, and immediately helped her out of her predicament. Needless to say, my dear friend has since passed on. But I did feel that her time she did spend in Crown Care was good. I made a note to myself, that I would not mind going there, when my time comes. It looked like a very professional, enjoyable place, with a very dedicated staff. Lots of activities, and medical help readily available. On the whole, I was very impressed. "

"It’s for my father. He’s at ABC Health Center. Overall, it’s good. The rooms are mediocre. It’s really old; it needs updating. However, they provide them with a lot of chances to get out and go to places to keep them active. There’s no problem with the staff. They’re very good. Two things they need to improve are updating the building there and how they deal with patients not getting along. "

"Touring Jefferson Health Care today is different than it was in the past. Things have greatly improved over the years, especially in the last year under new management. It is clean, smells like cookies or popcorn depending on the day, staff is very nice and residents are content and happy. Did great on their state inspections and have added great additions to their staff. "

"The nursing home provided everything for my grandparents. The facility was nice and clean. It held two separate wings; one side for the able and another wing for the disabled. The facility even provided apartment style living. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even got my grandmother walking again. All in one place, she got physical therapy, great food, and even fun dance lessons in the afternoon. My grandfather also was able to participate in game nights, movie nights, and local show viewings. I thought that he would not like going to the nursing home, but he loves it. They even allow my grandparents to have personal time. They share an apartment style room, and when my grandmother starts to have complications, the disabled wing provides her with another room for 24 hour care. However, when my grandfather is tired of eating the facility meals, he can just easily go next door to the local grocery store. He can even request a staff to get items for him to put in his apartment. I was so happy when I visited this facility. I knew my grandparents would be well taken care of. The staff members told me that my grandparents are always having fun. My grandmother can even go to her religious services again. I am so happy with their improvement since they've been in this home. I would recommend this home to anybody! "

"My wife was at John Knox Village Care Center. It's a very nice facility. They had an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, speech therapist, all on staff who saw her daily, Monday through Friday, but not on the weekends. It's crowded. They were all single rooms, but they were full to the brim. They had 40 beds in the rehab center, and they were constantly full. They had afternoon activities, Monday through Friday. Mornings were pretty much tied up with the therapy sessions, so they have limited the activities in the morning. They have two small common spaces."

"John Knox Village is very nice and very huge. They have several kinds of housing. They have apartments, cottages, and what they call villas. They have different levels of care. I'm moving into the independent living level. They have restaurants right there, seven restaurants. In other words, they have a lot of perks. They even help you with your moving fee. They give you $300 toward your moving expenses. They help people sell their homes, people who are having to sell their homes and downsize and stuff. You get a $200 credit every month toward your food because they have restaurants on site. It's very big, it's like a little town, almost. They have a lot of activities. It's very interesting, and I think it's something that people should know about. They have four levels. Each one of those sections has a restaurant. You can go to anyone you want. They have their own transportation system within the complex. It's very large, so from where you live, and you don't want to walk the distance to one of the restaurants because you think it's too far, then you can take a bus there. They have a golf course, and they have a place we can go fishing. They have their EMT thing right on site like if you get sick and you need to call for emergency, they have that right on site. They have more than one swimming pool, I think they have two and one is Olympic sized. They have a hotel, so if a resident there wants to have family or friends come to visit from out of town, the hotel is there, and the rates are less because it's right on site. They are a nonprofit; I think this is why they can offer so much because the money that they make is put right back into the business. It's very nice."

"I went to Life Care Center of Grandview. They had rehabilitation and skilled nursing. I thought they were very good. The person who gave me the tour was very nice and very informative. They had therapy and exercise. The room was average. "

"My brother-in-law just moved in at Corner Brook Place. We chose it because it was the only facility in the area that accepted his need for a wheelchair access on the first floor. The place was decent. The people who worked there were courteous. I would recommend this place to others. "

"During my visit the assisted living staff where nice and helpful. The place was clean and kept up. There where activities for the residents to partake in if they choose to do so. One of the activities they had on the day we had visited was a trick or treat for the kids of the families where the kids were allowed to trick or treat at the doors of the residents that chose to participate. The rooms on the other hand were small and were shared with a roommate. It was not easy to find the location of the facility at all. In the back of the facility they have a nice pond/sitting area. Aside from the small rooms it was a very pleasant experience and I would go back to visit. "

"They did seem to take care of the people well. My grandmother was always clean and well fed. They didn't seem overly crowded. The staff seemed pleasant and one time when we had an issue, it was addressed quickly and professionally. "

"I visited there and too tell anyone the truth I would not even put my SICK dog in that place!! The CNA are lazy..and don't do a good job...They are on the cell phones..all the time 24/7..I even heard on person yelling for a Nurse because they un-pluged the call light!!! Its a shame that the elder people there gets No respect and they are treated like DIRT! I think people working there are for the MONEY!! and Do no work..So think long and hard before you put your love one in a place like that!! GOOD LUCK! "
