My experience with Foxwood Springs has been good. They've been very helpful. The food has been fine. Right now, I've just moved into a one-bedroom, very small apartment. I think it's probably less than a thousand square feet. I have a wheelchair here and it's a little tight, but it's convenient and it's easy to keep neat and clean. I have a little puppy dog that I walk up and down on my power chair, and everybody just loves to see her. They've got swimming, church, and all kinds of games and things going on here. One night they played bingo, and one night they played cards. On Friday, they have a mix and mingle where everybody comes and greets the new residents. There is a snack and everybody is just very positive. They've got a beautiful garden here where people can go down and work in. It's just a nice experience.

I wasn't really impressed with Foxwood Springs. They couldn't give me a price. There's no internet service. They had a lot of little extra expenses above their normal expenses. The food thing was on voucher. The voucher would have provided maybe 30 meals a month, so that's another 60 that weren't covered. It just would have been overpriced, but it was a nice place. I would give it a very low rating just because of all the extra charges. It was a nice place, so I give credit for that, but price-wise it was not good. The person that I met was not a tour guide. She worked in the office. She was very nice and very polite, but she was not a salesperson. All she could do was show me the apartments. She didn't work in sales, so she didn't know anything about any of that. She did a great job though. They're supposed to call me back about the price, and they never called, so that's a strike against them. I had breakfast there. The food was good. Service was good, too. There was a little bistro. They had a restaurant. Overall experience, because there was no follow up, I was really disappointed in the way they did things. They just didn't follow up on anything. It makes you wonder if you had an issue there, how good would they be at taking care of it. If they're not giving you a service when you're looking at the place, and they haven't followed up on that service like they said they would, it makes you wonder what they're going to be like if you have an issue.

Foxwood Springs seemed okay. It's an easily accessible location. They have a cafe inside that residents can go to when they're guests, but they do have to pay for it. If it's a resident, it's just credited to their account for their meal, but that was nice. The rooms are extremely small. There are no private rooms without paying double. They have split rooms that have a wall that goes halfway through the room that you share with someone else. There is no storage. There's one little wall locker and that is it. You might fit a weekend's worth of clothing in there, and that's the only storage they have. The toilet room is shared, there are no cabinets in there to store anything, and the shower room is shared, too. Even though it's a nice-looking facility, it is more expensive. I would not put my mom there. There would be nowhere to store anything or to have visitors. You couldn't watch your TV there because your roommate would hear everything you have on TV and you would hear everything they have on TV, so there's no privacy. It's like a hospital room. They have a swimming pool, which was a draw for my mom, but they don't provide any assistance with the swimming pool. I met a couple of the staff. They didn't go out of their way to greet us or talk to us or anything. They weren't rude, but they didn't greet me at all.

Memory Care area hasn’t changed since 1977 or so since Foxwood opened. Patients have hospital beds, shared rooms and cast off furniture. It’s VERY depressing. Day staff was friendly. Moved my mom ASAP!

Mother was a resident for years in independent living apartments. Due to falling incidents she had to move to assisted living. (Be forewarned - Foxwood has NO qualified medical staff that responds to independent living -- security just calls the local fire dept/emt). While in assisted living she had seizures that sent her to the local hospital. The Director (Cindy) - backed by the CEO would EVICTED her!! All they had to do was wait a few weeks for new meds to take effect. We ended up moving her -- she hasn't had a single seizure since... This place is BAD!

We chose Foxwood Springs for my dad because we just really like the community, the way it was laid out, and the amenities that they had. It was just everything that he needed it's a very nice place. We looked at their individual apartment that has some housekeeping and things like that. It checked off all of our boxes and the people were very nice. I only met like two people, they're very friendly, very knowledgeable and very understanding. We're going back there to try the food. They have a woodworking area for the people, they have a garden that you can utilize, they have a saltwater pool, and they have a daycare where the seniors can interact with the children.

Foxwood Springs had houses that people live in. They have independent living in the main building, apartments, assisted living, and a care center. I love the community. Everything's on one level, and it's large. They have a gift shop and a second hand shop. It's a continuum of care kind of place. It's very clean. They have daily entertainment and different things for people to do. They can be a volunteer and they can work in the gift shop. They have their own therapy department, an exercise room, a library, a movie room, a wonderful kitchen, and good meals. The staff was very friendly. It's a very pretty facility.

My mother was in a duplex there, then moved to an apartment. They both have been great for her. Her one-bedroom apartment with a living room, bathroom, and kitchen, was plenty roomy for her, with plenty of closet space and kitchen cabinets. There is also a pantry for storage, and a laundry room down the hall. All the staff who work there are very nice and helpful. I haven't met one who wasn't. She likes to go to movies in her building and to church services. She also loves the exercise classes. It has been a great place for her.

My parents are set to move into Foxwood Springs, and they're very pleased. They stayed there as guests and were very happy. The staff was very gracious, and went out of their way to make my parents feel very welcome. They have a place to work out, they have a library, a game room, and very good eating areas. It's a very nice facility.

Dad stayed at Foxwood Springs for almost two weeks for respite care. They brought dad whatever food he can eat. They have an area for visitors where they can order food if they want to. The staff was great and very accommodating. The facility was very clean. The entire facility was nice although we were a little disappointed that he had to share a room with someone. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Our visit at Foxwood Springs went good, but mom just didn’t qualify to be there because she needed more help. The staff was fine. I think it’s a good place for her if she did qualify.

My mom did all the research and chose where she wanted to go, and she chose Foxwood. They have a great big open community there and it is good. You can own your own house and then, just have someone take care of you or just check on you occasionally. You can also rent an apartment within the facility that is independent living. Then you can move into assisted living and from there, you can even go to nursing care if you need. As far as I know, everything is good with my mom. I will recommend them to others.

Foxwood Springs had everything my father needed. The staff seems really good and they are doing great. His room is spacious enough. The food seems pretty good. I think it would be a good place for others too.

I was able to visit Foxwood Springs. The community looked very nice. The people I talked to were also very nice. They just didn't have anything open. The staff told me about several different activities, but I forgot what she said. The dining room was very nice. I would recommend them to others.

Foxwood Springs provides excellent care to the people living there. The facility is also an excellent place, and we are very, very satisfied. The staff are very loving and caring. The rooms are very adequate and private. The food is excellent. They offer a variety of activities. They have birthday parties and special parties for the residents. They also have live music once a month for all of the residents who had a birthday that month.

A beautiful facility with sweet people, but out of my mom's price range.
