"Armour Oaks Senior Living was nice and clean. The staff was very good. They apartments we saw were like studios. They had an exercise room, a dining area, a gathering area, and an activity area. They had a lot of activities."

"I was in short skilled nursing a couple of times in Sweet Life. The staff were excellent, and the food was good. It was a pleasant experience. It was clean and homey. They're worth recommending. "

"The one we liked the best right now for what they can do and what the price is, is Trustwell Living of Overland Park. It's a nice community. For the memory care, they have a single room with the bathroom attached to it. They had no carpeting. It was hardwood floors. It seemed like they were well-staffed each time I was in there. I was there during a meal and it's important to be there around the time that they would be serving a meal so that you can see what the staff is doing and that was a positive. The hallways were very spacious. You would never have a reason to worry about more than one wheelchair going down a hallway or if they were going in opposite directions. The bathrooms were set up well. The showers were large enough to where they could accommodate even a wheelchair, but they also had benches that you were able to sit on. Some of the memory care units can determine if someone is falling or whatever, but they did not have one of those. It wasn't the determining factor, but how well the attendants, nurses, CNAs, and everybody responded and acted with the residents, that was important for me. They didn't have a separate wing where they had physical therapy. They had it right there close by and had it all set up in stations. I thought that was very impressive. I didn't have a meal there, but it smelled good."

"I toured Mission Chateau. It was clean, well-managed, and in good shape. Everything was nice. It was well kept up and it was at a high level of quality. I had a hamburger there and it was not burnt."

"I tour St Anthony's; I like they have all levels of care, The views from the apartments were beautiful and spotless. The food is incredible. the activities and exercise were great always had residents busy. The staff was so friendly and nice."

"It was nearer to me, but further from my brother. We weren't happy with the layout of the room and for some reason mom didn't care much for how the rooms were set up. But the facility itself was very homey. We didn't meet much staff when we were there but those that we met were friendly and pleasant. I was very impressed because they seemed to have tremendous activity programs. When you see their schedule, they had a more wide variety than most facilities. They seemed to cater to a lot of different interests of their residents. "

"The Princeton Senior Living was just a new facility opening up. I didn't get to talk to too many people or anything, but I felt like just by talking with them, it would be a very good community to stay in. The rooms were very nice. They had different square footage and they were homey. The front foyer had seating areas and so forth so you'd be able to sit out with the family and talk if you didn't want to stay in the room. They also had other areas like that where you can visit, like a library."

"Trustwell Living at Mission Springs seemed to have a very good relationship with their patients. One of them came up and even gave them a good review without me even asking, so I believe that they have a very good relationship with their patients. They had a very nice dining room. The person that guided me was very knowledgeable and very personable. I enjoyed the visit. The place was extremely clean."

"The property is beautiful and very clean. The rooms are lovely and well laid out for various levels of mobility. The nursing staff are incredibly patient and I very much appreciate that the staff make every effort to keep residents active, healthy with lots of social opportunities. There’s much variety in programming in the building. My grandmother, who spent her first 95 years in a single family home, has been made to feel welcome and appreciated."

"My sister and I toured Garden Villas. We were both so very impressed with the overall facility. The staff we encountered were friendly and kind to us and the residents there. We were fortunate enough to view a 2 bed room unit which was clean, freshly painted and inviting. The facilities at Garden Villas provide opportunities for social interaction, physical development and mental stimulation."

"My mother-in-law was in the rehab section of Brookdale Rosehill. It was a well-kept and nice place. She was there twice. During her first rehab, the situation was excellent. The staff was amazing and they were very attentive to her. During the second rehab, she was in a different portion of the building and it didn't go as well, but I don't know if that's because she just wasn't as well. The first time she was there, she raved about the food. The second time she was there, she did not, but it was the same food, same facility. They had a lot of music programs and she loved going to those. They would come and get her and take her to another part of the building for the music performances. There was such a difference in between the two times for her."

"I went and toured White Oaks at the Groves Senior Living Community. The tour was good. The only thing is, they showed me apartments that were not ready, so I didn't really like that because I didn't get a full picture. These were apartments that were still being renovated or rehabbed where people had moved out. The staff was very nice. The facility itself was nice. I would say the living atmosphere was good. They offered a lot to the residents. If you stayed there, they had game nights and pool tables. They had a lot of activities that a person could enjoy."
