"I was so lucky to find this facility for my grandmother. The Nursing and Rehab Staff are the best anywhere is the Kansas City area. The therapy Gym has the most up to date equipment and the thing that I like the most was that whatever time I went in to visit her. The residents and building always looked neat and clean. You can tell that they really like what they do. "

"My wife has moved into Jefferson Health Care. It's an older place. It's built in the mid-1990s. It's been completely remodeled. It's very clean. The nurses are very caring. We have excellent results so far. My wife is adapting as well as could be expected. We're pleased. The food is good. The place is clean. They seem to be taking very good care of her. My wife got a single room with a bath ensuite. During the week. they have almost daily activities twice a day, morning and afternoon. They have a courtyard with a garden and flower beds inside the courtyard for summer time. They have a patio area out there also."

"My husband was at John Knox Village Care Center for 30 days. The rehab center was excellent. It's very, very good. Everything was very nice and very clean. People were attentive, patient, and helpful. There was always someone around that you could contact. When my husband called they were there, and they helped him out with everything. There were always nurses in the hallway taking care of things. It was very nice. My husband's food was very good. The building was clean and well-kept. They had plenty of activities. They had bingo nights, they did puzzles with the elderly, and they had movies."

"Mother had been at John Knox Village in independent living since August of 2008, but as her health went down, she ended up in assisted living. They go from independent living all the way to skilled nursing care. I think it’s one of the best that we have in the general Kansas City area. It’s almost like a community and has a pavilion which can hold as many as 2,000 to maybe 5,000 people. It’s huge. There are three or four restaurants on the campus. There’s also a touring company that you can make arrangements with who can take a group of people out to different types of activities. It is convenient right off 470 Interstate. On campus or off campus, they will provide you with transportation to your doctor’s visit or to the hospital. They have ambulance services and their own maintenance services. They provide you with weekly housekeeping as part of your monthly service fee, which, I think, is reasonable. You can get meals, too. It has a lot of planned activities. I recommend it highly."

"I have been in Corner Brook for about six weeks. I am satisfied with this place. The staff has treated me well. I share a room in a two-bedroom place. There is enough space. I like how things are going in here. They have bingo, musicals, and outings. They take people to parties, to movies, and to go shopping "

"My mother went to Timberlake Care Center for respite care. It seems like a very pleasant place, and she seems to enjoy it. She has just been there five days now. The staff was very courteous, very kind, and very caring as far as I could see. She seemed to be happy when we when we left her there, so we were satisfied. She has a private room, and it's very nice. It's a very nice and very well kept facility. The short time that I was there, it seemed like a very pleasant atmosphere. It's a very clean place."

"My mother went to The Healthcare Resort of Leawood when she got out of the hospital. She was only there for three nights. They had nursing care and assisted living was in another wing. They had a movie room. The staff was OK, but they kept changing. She wasn't impressed with the place. They had happy hour, but she didn't participate in it. The staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating to her. She didn't like the food."

"My step Dad is a long term care patient at Pleasant Hill. He had been in some other places in the area and this is hands down the best. I feel like the staff is genuinely kind and they do care about the quality of the care they provide to your loved one. Because I live out of state communication is the key, they always keep my informed and when I call are there to answer any questions. Having you loved one be in a long term care facility is never an easy choice but they were there every step of the way and I am glad that I found them. "

"My mother was a resident of Park Place Care Center for rehab prior to her death in 2006. I visited the facility prior to making the decision to move her there. We were moving her from an unacceptable nursing home and needed to find one which accepted her insurance. The staff was empathetic to me and the grounds were well maintained. The smell of cleaning products in the building was rather strong but at an acceptable level. All areas I encountered were very clean. After my mother was admitted, she shared a room with another patient. The rooms were adequate and not much was offered in regards to providing a sense of privacy from the roommate. The staff did offer social occasions for the residents to mingle, however, my mother never choose to participate. She did enjoy the dining area and made friends there. Overall, my mother did not seem to enjoy her time at this facility stating she felt the residents (patients) weren't treated with a proper amount of respect. I never personally witnessed any time where residents weren't treated properly but do take my mother at her word. Overall, Park Place Care Center is an adequate facility and I do not regret our choice. "

"I moved both of my parents into the facility in August 2019. The prior year my mother had been at a different facility and fell multiple times, resulting in some serious injuries. Instead of just telling her not to get up on her own the staff here worked with her so she can transfer herself to/from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to toilet safely and independently. They have also gotten her involved in lots of activities which has been great for her emotionally and cognitively. My father is physically declining but staff interacts with him, joking around with him (which he thrives on). My only complaint would be I had to request via Mackenzie more than once that staff shave his face since his vision has gotten so poor and I frequently have to clip his fingernails. However, they are safe, well treated, well fed, well socialized and medically monitored appropriately so my clipping their fingernails is no big issue. "
