I moved both of my parents into the facility in August 2019. The prior year my mother had been at a different facility and fell multiple times, resulting in some serious injuries. Instead of just telling her not to get up on her own the staff here worked with her so she can transfer herself to/from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to toilet safely and independently. They have also gotten her involved in lots of activities which has been great for her emotionally and cognitively. My father is physically declining but staff interacts with him, joking around with him (which he thrives on). My only complaint would be I had to request via Mackenzie more than once that staff shave his face since his vision has gotten so poor and I frequently have to clip his fingernails. However, they are safe, well treated, well fed, well socialized and medically monitored appropriately so my clipping their fingernails is no big issue.

Help button and telephone usually out if my dads reach. Nothing done after numerous requests. Mackenzie impossible to get ahold of. When she responds all you get is your dad is being well taken of? Instead of making sure dad gets teeth brushed they ask him if he wants to brush his teeth, he doesn’t have that capacity, that’s why he is there. Same with pain meds, it’s obvious he needs some but if he doesn’t ask they won’t give him any. He doesn’t have that capacity!!, that’s why he is there!! Food usually cold and just left in the table, no help to open condiments or handling his silverware.

My wife moved into Ascension Living St. Joseph Place. It is a very nice facility and a Catholic facility. Everyone there is very nice, very caring, and friendly. They take good care of my wife. The food is very good. They keep the facility very clean. It is a good place to go. I would recommend them to anyone.

If only there was a zero rating! My mother was there for one month before I moved her. The staff was hired from an outside agency, there is no in-house training. My mother fell 3 times in that month due to the negligence of the staff and then the staff blamed and shamed her for the falls. Please, do not have any family members move in here!!

If you're looking for therapy services for your loved one, look no further than Villa St. Joseph. The therapy team was fantastic, respectful and very enjoyable to be around. My father was there for 3 weeks following a hospital stay and they got him to meet all his goals and is now returning home. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for post-acute therapy services in a SNF setting.

I HAVE HAD A LOVE ONE AT VILLA ST JOSEPH FOR MANY YEARS NOW. AND AS YOU ALL KNOW MANY NURSING HOMES ARE GOING THROUGH MANY CHANGE AND ARE SHORT OF STAFF. I HAVE FOUND THAT EVEN THOU THIS NURSING HOME IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME CHALLENGES MY MOTHER HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL CARE FOR AND THE DIETARTY DEPT. GOES OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GET HER WHAT EVER SHE WANTS , THE ACTIVITY GIRL ON SKILLED II DOES AN EXCELANT JOB . THE ACTIVITY DIRECTOR HAS GONE OUT OF HER WAY TO KEEP THE BUILDING DECORATED FOR ALL HOILDAYS AND KEEPS THE CALENDAR INTERESTING. AND THE SOCIAL WORKERS ARE TOP NOTCH. THE THERAPY HERE IS GREAT. I WOULD NOT GO ANY WHERE EALSE. .

The staff is friendly but administration lacks communication and caring. Rooms are old, cluttered and not clean. Residents are not kept clean except for baths twice a week. There is a lot of yelling by the residents. Poor run nursing home. Wish there were more "good" options.

I visited Villa St. Joseph. I don’t think the care is as great as I expected to be nor were the staff as friendly as I thought they should be, either. Their lobby looked nice, but their rooms were cluttered. I also don’t think they communicate much. Their location is wonderful for me except that I think that they could use more parking spaces. I've eaten there quite a few times, and the food is very good.

Mom was at Villa Saint Joseph for a nursing and rehab care. There was a lot of construction going on at the time my mom was there. The staff was very competent, but with regards to the facility, I would not put my mother there for a long term period. She hated the place. Their food was not good.
