"I have chosen this community. It was bright, clean, and friendly. The room is a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It has a bedroom, a bath, and a washer and dryer. They showed me a calendar of the things that they do, like games they play, the places they go, the bingo, and that sort of thing. Two meals are included. They have a library and a room where they have a theater and a chapel."

"I thought the people managing Wexford Place are kind, very benevolent, very helpful, and very supportive. They understood my problems and offered tremendous amount of support and help, even physical and financial help. I'm in a small 1-bedroom, but it's quite adequate. The food is excellent. It also had a lot of different places that we can go. "

"My mother is a resident since Oct of 22. Before she moved there she was depressed, not motivated, and sad. After she moved, she was very happy to be making friends, joining in activities, and she liked her apartment and not having a house to take care of. The staff is excellent. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone considering this facility. "

"We considered moving to Brookdale Overland Park 119th. Everything in the main building was independent living. They had two dining rooms and three meals a day. It was three floors and every apartment either had a balcony, or the ground floor had a little yard, and many of them were fenced in, which was interesting to us because we have a dog. We just looked at the two-bedroom, two-bath units. All of the units, even though you had dining, had full kitchens in them. It had a stove, refrigerator, and microwave. It had everything. The staff that we worked with was very, very pleasant, very nice, very knowledgeable, and worked very well. She gave us a very nice tour. They also have a swimming pool. We were there in October and the pool was still open. They keep it open as long as the weather is permitting. During the tour, we were not offered any food. They had a lot of common areas where people could congregate together, a nice library, a great craft room, and a pub where you could get a cocktail in there, and you could get sandwiches. It had a lot to it. It was very pleasant."

"We liked Garden Villas of Lenexa. The staff was great. They were very informative, very welcoming, and lowkey. We also liked the price that they offered, and just the facility itself. The dining area was very nice and very clean. Their menu had lots of choices. It's an older facility, but it's been renovated so it looked bright, cheerful, very modern, and it smelled great. It had a happy atmosphere."

"My mother is in Garden Village. You couldn't ask for better people to help you. They assist you with anything you need, and they're very attentive to their residents. It's an overwhelmingly great experience. They have a variety of apartments, and you can get all the way up to a two-bedroom apartment. With her having macular degeneration, we decided on a studio, so she wouldn't get lost in the room. It's nice, there's plenty of space for all her things, and she has a small kitchenette. They take people out on trips, they have trivia games where you can earn a garden buck, and they have an auction at the end of the month where you can spend the money to buy something. They have an exercise room, a horticulture room, classes for flower arranging, bible studies, ice cream socials, and doughnut socials. She seems to like the food."

"I'm very satisfied with The Wellington Senior Living. It meets my needs. It's clean. It's comfortable. It's well taken care of. Any questions I have, they're answered immediately and explained thoroughly and I'm treated with respect. The staff's work attitude is wonderful. I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality of the work or anything that I've been exposed to. I have no complaints about the food. Everything's good. There's plenty of it and it's good quality. Maintenance is excellent. I have needed very low maintenance, but anything I've asked for, it's been taken care of immediately. They clean on a regular basis. Every week, a new activity schedule comes out and I just participate in anything that I want to. I'm very satisfied with what I'm getting and what I'm paying."

"It is assisted living that I saw at The Madison Senior Living. It was a fairly new place. It's nice. The people there seemed to be very courteous and friendly. It's clean. The room that I looked at was a good size for my husband. It was a studio but well set up. They gave us just a little snack food while we were waiting, but they showed us a menu of what the people there would get, and it had a variety of things on it. The staff who assisted was very good. She's even checked with me two or three times since then. There was a variety of activities that would be provided for them if they care to take part. The facility was beautiful. It was a fairly new place, so it was in very good shape."

"I've been here at Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community for about 5 months now. It's well done. The entry downstairs is gorgeous and it's very well decorated. It is very attractive, and the people here are nice. It's a cut above the other ones that I've visited. It was just the best one I found. They have all kinds of card games, poker, bingo, exercise classes, and physical therapy. They have a happy hour every Friday where someone comes in and does music. It's just a nice atmosphere. The staff is nice, and they try to be accommodating as best they can. I have a living/dining room accommodation with a den. I have a big bedroom, a big closet, and a bath. I have a washer and dryer facility. The food is delicious. Sometimes, it goes a little downhill. It's a lot of comfort food, and it made me gain weight."

"Riverstone is just nice. They market was like you are on a cruise ship. It is just really open and decorated nicely, good activities, nice people, and good layout for the apartment. It is independent living, but you can get your meals, and they do housekeeping and that kind of thing. They have shows, they do movies, and they play baseball bean bag. They do trivia, coloring, and painting. They have a really nice dining area, and they have several different options. They have a fresh salad bar with fruits, a soup of the day every day, and a lot of options for your meal. "

"Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit was a beautiful setup. The apartment was a lot roomy and beautiful. They had really nice amenities. It's too expensive for me, but I'm sure it would make a nice place for some people. It wasn't as homey as some. It was more like being in a fancy hotel, but it was very beautiful and there were very nice people working there. They have a salon, a gaming area where grandkids could play with pool tables and some other games, a crafts room, and a puzzle room. However, the halls were so long that I would have almost needed a motorized cart to get around the halls to the rooms. It was a very long walk and I was out of breath by the time I got to some. That was another factor for me not choosing it. The staff member during the tour seemed very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. I only got to meet two staff members, and one was a salon lady and she was very nice. The dining area was nicely setup and big, but the length of the halls to get to the food was very long. I saw a two-bedroom, which is what I was looking for, but the second room was very small and odd shaped. If you needed assisted living, you could transfer right over, and they had a connection with Medicare to help with some of that. The apartments did not have a kitchen. All they had was a refrigerator, a sink, and a little cabinet."

"I feel like I'm being spoiled here. We have good people that will help me. I just go down for food and they take care of me with housekeeping. It's a nice place. They give you a menu for the week ahead and you pick your entrees. They usually have pretty good choices here. I've not had anything that I had to turn back. On the weekends, it's strictly buffet. On the weekdays, when you go down, they just serve you and you get a variety of drinks. They're just good. The servers know your name and they anticipate what you're going to want to drink. The food tastes good. They have a lot of activities available. Most of them are resident-led. They don't have fancy facilities, but we don't need anything fancy at this point in time. They have a courtyard where they can go out and have a firepit or barbecue outside. They have a door park, and we have some residents that have dogs, so it works out pretty well. Mainly I have interactions with the servers, and that's good. We don't have a swimming pool here, but we have an exercise room, a couple of game rooms, puzzle rooms, and stuff like that."

"The Parkway Senior Living had very nice rooms. The staff was nice and friendly and even checked in on me. Every now and then, I got a call from their director to see how my buddy and I were doing and if there was anything that they could do for me. Their dining area was big. It was a very nice place. They had an exercise room and programs. It was clean inside and out. "

"One thing I liked about The Princeton Senior Living was the room. I thought they were very well done. They had granite countertops for the kitchen counters and nice living spaces. They made it look like more of an apartment instead of just a room. I enjoyed that. I thought it was adequate as far as the number of bedrooms and there's a computer area for you. The dining area was adequate. It was modern and restaurant-style. They have a little grab-and-go bistro area where they can grab things and take it back to their room at any time of the day. I liked that a lot. The staff we met was very nice and very informative. They provided the residents with a number of meals during the day included in the package that I thought was fantastic, too. They have plenty of options to choose from their menu."
