My mother stayed in the rehab facility at McCrite Plaza. She appreciated the caring staff and the amenities that were provided. She said the food was good, much better than when she was at the hospital, and the other patients there were kind. She’s been recommending it to all her friends, so safe to say she enjoyed it.

I have chosen a senior living community called McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff. I hope to move there probably within the next few months. I enjoyed it and the people were the big draw. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very pleasant. I've visited a number of other facilities in the area, and this one was large enough that I thought it would satisfy my needs. I had a lunch there once, it was fine, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Their dining area is acceptable. It's fine. My impression of the residents there is generally positive. They were happy, they moved there. It's near where I live and I can still stay active in the community center, and still attend the various churches that I attend, etc. Its closeness is the biggest draw.

McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff is very nice. It's only two and a half years old. The food is excellent. The staffing is not so great though and it hasn't been in a while since COVID. My mom is in the memory care and the communication between them and us has just really been a struggle over the past two years (with their management and trying to understand what's going on.) We were quite impressed with them at first but since COVID, it just continued to deteriorate.

My mother was in McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff for rehab. It was fine, but communication was lacking. They had taken her to the doctor, but no one had told us. Their attentiveness could've been better. They were very slow in getting the call light. Even on her last day, she called me at 5:00 in the morning and said, "No one is answering me, and I've been doing it for an hour." I called at 5:00 in the morning and said someone needs to get to her now and they did, and mom said they came right away. She told me some crazy stories and I didn't believe her at first, but then when all these things were happening, and her stories were actually true, I looked at it and said maybe I should believe all these other stories that she's telling me when I'm gone and they just looked at me like they're in the headlight. I feel like when I'm there, they were nice and good and attentive, but when I left, they weren't. It was clean, the workers were great, food was good, and they were good on their medicine, but there were things they can improve on.

Please visit this facility evening and weekends. Remember your LO lives there 24/7! They do not give adequate care during those hours my dad was in their Long Term Care unit. They did not go by the care plan. There is more to how the outside looks to our LO it should be all about the care.

This place is amazing! I cannot believe how beautiful it is. What really makes this facility is the caring staff members who make you feel like you're truly at home.

At McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff, you buy the meal package, but you don't have to eat three meals a day there, whereas at other places, the package includes dining with them all the time. The facility is gorgeous and the room my mother-in-law is going to have is gorgeous. The people are wonderful and they have a ton of activities, like going out to eat, to doctors' appointments, the theater, cards, and Bingo. The staff member who showed us around was awesome. The dining is not the centerpiece of everything. It was small, but big enough, and not as open, airy, or spectacular.

McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff was perfect. They have everything you want, like a bar, a club, three restaurants, concierge, post office, grocery store; you name it and they have it. The rooms were gorgeous, huge, and very functional. The dining area was like an amazing, gourmet restaurant. They have to put out a 12-page book every week of all the activities. They have more activities than you can even begin to imagine, they take them everywhere, and they also have classes, groups, and so on.

Our tour of McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff was great. We spent quite a bit of time with their attendant; she was really helpful. She let us tour the entire facility. She showed us a couple of the different rooms that we are considering, and went over the pricing and everything with us. She was just really helpful the entire time. The facilities themselves were pretty much perfect for what my parents need. They had several activities that went on pretty much all day every day. They were great. The rooms themselves were pretty nice and spacious. My mom is wheelchair-bound for the most part, so one of the more important aspects was that she had enough room to maneuver her wheelchair around. The apartments seemed like they were pretty good quality, and they were exactly what we were looking for. They had more of an open concept compared to some of the other ones that we visited, which was an important aspect. We only spent a little bit of time in the cafeteria area, but based on the menu, it seemed pretty straightforward for independent living. They had any kind of a la carte menu and they had restaurant style menu. We didn't get to eat a meal there, but my mom went back at a later date and spent the whole day there. She got to tour a little more of the facility and they sat down for dinner or lunch. She told me that the food was pretty good. The staff all seemed really friendly. They all interacted with everybody in the hallways. The residents of the facility were always really happy to stop and talk to us and with the staff and everybody. It seems like a really friendly community. It seems like the staff have built those relationships that are really crucial.

McCrite Plaza is very clean and very interactive. All the residents wear a button, so if my mom gets lost, they would know where she is. They have firewalls so even though there are a couple of stairs because it's a large building, you just have to get the residents past a firewall, and they still have 2 and half hours to get down the stairs before fire can spread past 3 apartments. They just really mapped out their facilities, and when I was there, there were activities going in every direction, like painting, singing, balloon volleyball, a band was practicing, and sing-along. They have a library and a movie theater. They had a bar for Friday night drinks with a skyline view, they have a nice workout center, and it was just really state of the art. Everybody knows everybody and each other's names. They treat even the people with Alzheimer's with respect and care.

McCrite Place is very nice. I was invited for a meal, and the food was good. They have an excellent chef. They have kitchens too, so you can cook in if you wanted to. But their meals, you just order from a menu, and there are no meals provided. You rent your unit, and then when you go down to order your meals, then they'll write it down to your cost of living there, but it's very nice. Their apartments are nice, but they're a little on the pricey side. The staff members were wonderful. It's very elegant, and they have a lot of planned activities.

The facility we have chosen is named McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff. They have senior living facility, and they have one wing that is assisted living. They did not change the floor plan in assisted living. The major factor was finding a 1200 square foot apartment for my parent to relocate. That was what drew me there in the first place. It has all designer finishing. I can tell you that everyone there cares about the residents. This facility is only a year old. The people at marketing were available just about 24/7 to answer any questions that I have. The entire community made me feel as though they were involved in everything related to my move. The food is incredible. We actually enjoyed helping my parents anytime around meal time because it was so good. They are actually signed up for a few classes right now but haven't started yet because they just got here. They have been there for around one week. The staff and the space impressed me the most because it is so hard for someone to be able to make that transition and to make a transition into something that looks more like their home versus a home. It stands out over absolutely everything I have seen in multiple states.
