We just moved my mother into Abbey Park in Grand Blanc yesterday. We chose the place because it's privately owned; it's not a big corporation-owned place. It's very one-on-one, it's not a huge place, it's very clean, and the people are wonderful and very helpful. About two weeks ago, we started the process, and they just showed us right through. It's a beautiful place, the apartments are beautiful, and the grounds are very beautiful. It's also very close to our home, and that's another reason we chose it. My mom said the food is great. She's only had two meals there, but she's excited to go to lunch and dinner. We were introduced to the kitchen staff, the heads of the kitchen and activities, and the church. It was very good. They have a beauty shop, a barbershop, the general store, a movie theater, and an ice-cream parlor. They have a chauffeur service for doctors appointments. They have a senior bus that, once COVID is all over, will start back up with casino trips, grocery trips, and bank trips. They have daily activities such as exercise. They have a billiards room, too. They do offer quite a bit, and they're also one of the best-priced places.

Abbey Park is pretty nice. There's a big lobby when you come in. Down the hall there's a computer room, library, ice cream parlor, salon, a theater, and a chapel. The staff is very nice, everyone is very friendly, and very helpful. Most of the time the food is good. The dining area is very clean and they're always washing the tables and chairs, and they sweep after every meal.

We decided on Abbey Park for my mother-in-law. It was very nice and had very nice accommodations. They have a podiatrist on call, a movie theater and a popcorn machine, and a small kitchen for ice cream socials. You can have your meals delivered to you if you want, and they’ll come and clean once a week. Of course, you’re going to pay a little bit more for all that stuff. The cupboards and the closet bars were all too high. It’s very close to a hospital, so all the grounds around were beautiful. There were places to park, and they had places for visitors. It was top notch.

Our overall impression of Abbey Park was really good. I liked it. The dining area was clean; the food was good. The people seemed very friendly. It was the location that we wanted. My dad has a 1-bedroom apartment. I thought it was a good square footage for what he needed with a bed and living area.

Abbey Park in Grand Blanc is in a very good community. They have lots of activities like music groups coming in and churches coming in that hold church services there. There’s a nice walking trail right nearby, and it is right near the hospital. The staff is very good, the dining area is nice and clean, and the residents are always out. They can have their own apartment, so that they can do their own kitchen or cook their own food. I know people who live there and they enjoy it very much. They do outings, they take them to the grocery store, and to the baseball games. So they take them out a lot. They have parking if the resident has a car. It’s a very popular place, well run, and well-maintained.

Abbey Park was nice with OK rooms. I didn’t care for the food; it should to be prepared to be warm, but it’s not. They need to get with the program a little better. They had a beauty salon and a little convenient store and a lot of places residents could sign up for to go on outings.

Abbey Park was a nice facility, and it looked very busy though. There were tons of cars in the parking lot. They had a bus that takes their residents out. It also looked like a very busy place. They had different rooms, a dining hall, and they also had different rooms where I saw people playing cards and board games. Their rooms are different. They did have a large one room where you would have either a sofa bed or a twin bed with your sofa and then a little area that had a sink, a refrigerator, and a small stove.

Abbey Park is one of the best senior assisted living facilities in Genesee County. It is conveniently located adjacent to Genesys Hospital. The ground are well kept and area is very safe. Its safeguarded with 24/7 security with also patrol the hospital premises. When you enter the door of Abbey Park, it is an oasis for those who live on the premises and also for the ones who visit. The facilities are well maintained and very clean. Often in assisted living facilities, the atmosphere seems very doom and gloom. Abbey Park houses many glass windows which lightens up the mood with a lot of natural lighting. The residents Ive meet are the happiest Ive seen around. With nightly and weekly activities, the residents are given the chance to engage in social and physical activities. The living quarters are quaint yet spacious enough for easy maneuverability. The staff at Abbey Park are helpful and very nice, always seen with a smile on their faces. Overall, Abbey Park, in my opinion, has been consistent over the years with many major upgrades from the competitors.
