"We toured American House Milford for my mother, and it was very nice. The rooms had a good layout. They were very clean and well taken care of. The interior is laid out nice, it's updated. It's clean, and the apartments are well decorated. It's got a lot of tree lines, and it's convenient for probers not far from where I live."

"When I visited Brookdale Novi, I saw the room, the space, and what was available. Since it's independent living, they just showed me the package if I needed some help with anything and the prices were too much for me. They showed me a one-bedroom with one bath and its kitchen. The kitchen came supplied, but there was no furniture in the bedroom or the living room, which was fine. The staff was very helpful. The facility was nice and clean. It looked decent."

"My mother moved into Storypoint of Novi when it was actually Anthology of Novi in 2023. The staff have been excellent throughout her stay. They are all very attentive to her needs and she so enjoys the activities offered. She is even being taken to church on Sundays which is a special treat for her since most facilities only offer a theater type setting or a short church version being brought into the facility a different day of the week. The facility offers travel services certain days/times of the week at no additional cost within 10 miles of the facility, as long as they have no "medical" commitment for another resident at that same time.. In addition to having daily specials in the dining room, the facility offers you to order off a menu at no additional cost and the offerings are quite tasty. We would highly recommend this facility for your loved one(s)."

"My mother was at OHM for a couple months maybe 3 Up to Sept 1 2016. We felt safe with her care there, The following are pros and cons: The owner wants to keep all unused rent if the patient passes away which to me is pure selfish and criminal, In other words Big places do not do this and will refund 100% of unused rent if the patient passes away. For example,If a full month of rent is paid on March 1st for the month of March, and your parent passes away on March 2, the owner will try to keep all of the rest of March's rent since it is inside the 30 days. That means a new patient will or can be taking over in the same bedroom for the rest of the month while owner receives DOUBLE rent for the same bedroom. Also when we talked to the owner about us moving out, the main focus of owner was all about making sure we pay for the 30 days after the move out notice.. That mattered more than finding out what can be done to accommodate our mother more. The food from what I understand was nothing special, I don't believe the clients were given a choice of meals. Maybe a choice would be too costly and inconvenient for the staff and owner. Overall the care was good and my mother with Alzheimer's seemed satisfied . The house was always very clean and visiting was as convenient as can be expected, The staff seemed very dedicated to providing personal care from what I could tell. The financial cost per month could not be beat from our shopping around. "

"I am moving into Vicinia Gardens Independent Living. I liked the facilities and the amount of social interaction that's available. It was just a very nice place. They had exercise classes, book clubs, and card games. I liked the apartment setup. I will be in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment."

"I went toured here. That would have been ideal, but they didn't have any two-bedroom openings. They're excellent. I like the two bedrooms, two baths and it was just very nice. The staff during the tour was lovely. It was only one person, but we were exposed to others that worked there that were very nice. The common spaces were very nice and very relaxing. I didn't see any activities, but they were listed."

"My parents are thriving while living at IVP! They feel safe during the pandemic and doing very well. Very thankful they are well cared for and their nice apartment. "

"Caretel Inns of Linden has three different types of care. It has assisted living, a memory care unit for people with dementia problems, and another area for skilled nursing. They’re different modules in the same location. The actual one I saw was the assisted living. The staff was very good and very competent. They knew what’s needed for senior citizens. The dining area was very good. They have specials every day or, if you just want the same thing every day, there's a set menu of things you could choose from. They have a movie theater, a little store where you could buy stuff, a hair salon and you could get your nails done there. The family members can get a pass to go directly into their parents’ or family member’s place. You can visit at any time and stay there with them. They’ll get you a rollaway bed, so you could stay with them. The parking was very close because it surrounds it. They have little courtyards and lots of flowers around, and the maintenance crew is good. "

"I am currently living at All Seasons West Bloomfield. The place is only 10 years old. It's been a very pleasant apartment. I don't partake in any activities. I am more of a recluse. But they have a pretty good chock full of activities. I feel okay here. I feel safe. I have dinner partners. The room is very adequate for a single person and I wouldn't need any more space."

"I fell in love with Brookdale Farmington Hills. It is a beautiful place. One of the things I love best is that they have screened-in porch on every unit, which is great. Also they didn't have any problems with my dog. All of those were good. It was a lovely place, but it was just outside my reach. The rooms were adequate size. They were not large but they're enough. You can bring in your couch, a couple of chairs and a coffee table. The bedroom was big enough to have a dresser, a bed and a desk. The rooms were very attractive. The people were extremely pleasant. I would love to have lived there but it was out of my reach. You can have all your meals there anytime you want or you can cook in your own apartment. They take small tours and they have the bus going some place every day. It was just a really pleasant atmosphere. I had lunch there and it was nicely portioned. Food was good and tasty. It was really very nice."

"Brookhaven Manor looks like a very nice place with a beautiful lobby. I was very impressed. It has lots of services and they have a library. They have a lot of concerts on Sunday afternoons. They have their own kitchen. The people have been very kind and friendly. It was just the right choice for my mother-in-law and she likes it. She's in the process of moving. They have a 24/7 medical station with a nurse, and if you want to, you can buy a membership for a year so you can go there rather than going to emergency care. The place is absolutely clean. The person we were talking to there was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even when I was out of state, she emailed me several times, so there's good communication there. My mother-in-law went with my husband on their first tour and they said they had a very good lunch, and that they really liked it."

"The apartments are very nice at American House Carpenter Senior living. They have plenty of room and everything in the room was brand new. They have a lot of activities like ceramics, card playing, theater and other things. The people working there were very nice and helpful. The food is excellent; they gave us two choices and a full course dinner. It's a place I'd like to live in. "
