Morton Manor Senior Apartments is convenient. It's less than two miles away from my church and it's subsidized housing. It's cozy and very much what I've desired at this point in my life. They have recreation and a very strong community-type setting. The administration is extremely helpful and they make certain that the resources that need to be available are made available.

The people an supervisor's here are quite pleasant and my mother has been living here for 5 years an she love's it here. The 1 problem which seem's to be a huge problem is the up keep and the fact that this place is infested with roaches an my mother's place is always spotless an we come in an check on her an clean very often an have seen multiple critter's running around day or night an also through out the building itself an have heard the same complaint's from other tenant's. They have exterminated her apartment at least 4 times only for them to come back a month later an have only seen the exterminator do the whole building once, seeing that this is such a problem an that we have brought this to the supervisor's attention an they only seem to do her apartment if we complain about it but really the problem is'nt our mother's problem cause it's the whole building an she does' nt even put food in the cubboard's cause of it for the last couple years... Soooo disturbing!!!!

Morton Manor in Madison Heights is a senior apartment building. This is section 8 housing for older adults. The buildings are located on a "senior housing campus", so various services are provided for seniors. One of the drawbacks of this facility is that staff can be difficult to find, should you need assistance. Other than that, I have rarely heard complaints from residents. As with most senior housing, Morton offers various activities for residents. One resident I spoke to had lived in several different senior housing facilities and said that the activities were best at Morton. Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a 3.5, the common areas a four, the residents' rooms a four, the staff a three and the quality of care a three. Overall, I'd give Morton Manor a rating of 3.5 stars because while it is a low cost facility, as well as pretty nice, there are areas they could improve upon.
