I toured The James Ferndale. It was a good community. It offered everything you could think of. They had a chef that would prepare meals for you. They had a salon. They had a little doctor's office there. The staff was very pleasant, and the menu looked good. They have game day and a van that would take you places if you need transportation. They offered everything included in one price. It was still a little pricey for me, but it was a nice place.

Over priced, over promised and looking for anyway to cut corners. Food quality has consistently diminished over the last year and now they are limiting how many meals are included and have the audacity to call them complementary. No longer serving a hot breakfast, rather putting out a pot of oatmeal and sugary pastries. The management is telling residents that they should be utilizing their full kitchen and cook for themselves. Their management team has been replaced several times and now only cares about the bottom line and not the life quality of their residents.

The James Ferndale was very friendly. Everything was great. They were top-notch. It's luxurious because they have everything on site. It's perfect for somebody who has the finances. They had studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom apartments. We specifically looked at a one-bedroom apartment and it was very spacious. The lady that was welcoming us was super friendly and very helpful. She gave us some coffee. If I would have had the finances, I would let my mom stay there. The dining area looks like a little restaurant. The service was good.

It had a lot of stuff to offer. It's a nice place. The apartments were nice. They have a movie night. They go on little shopping trips. They have a nice dining area. The staff was nice and informative.
