"We toured Chester Street Residence, and they were larger than the other one I saw. They could accommodate around 50 residents. The staff who gave us the tour was very accommodating. We saw a large studio room, a game room, and the dining room."

"We really liked Windemere Park. They take them to the stores once a week and had some medical staff available. We liked that they can stay there and move into different levels of care as needed without moving out. The price was pretty good. The food looked very good."

"I went here. This was a high-class place. When you walked in, it was elegant. That was like the regular assisted living and such, and then you went into the memory care part, and it was the same as the assisted living with the same set-up building. It was clean, cheerful, and elegant. The staff were very nice. They seemed very attentive. They were great. They seemed to have activities going on, and they're right next to a dog park, which for my mother would interest her. If she couldn't be at the dog park, she would be able to watch the people and their dogs, which is equally as enjoyable. They had it all. They had the gym. They had a nice courtyard. They do activities with them. They've got a weekly sheet of what they do every day, and it seemed to be pretty active. In terms of location, for me, I live in Troy, so it's close. It's a very lively area."

"I went here, and it was really quite nice. I didn't see much because of COVID, but what I did see, I was very impressed with, and if it had been in a different location, I would have gone with that one. The staff seemed really nice. The apartments were very nice one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. I saw a one-bedroom and a studio. They were really nice."

"We went to American House Sterling Woods. It was very, very good, very organized, clean, and smelled nice. Right from the walk in the front door, we were greeted by a person at the front desk. She informed the person who gave the tour that we were there. That person came out and we talked for a moment, and then we went up and sat in one of the units that was unoccupied and got a feel for that while she explained everything. She did a beautiful job. She loves her work. You can tell she's very good at it. Everything was good. For us, I think that because any services are an extra fee, except for the actual room and the meals that you go to the dining room for, we need a little more help, and it would be too expensive. We might consider it just for a respite for two weeks. She also talked about long-term, and that's not something that we would be able to consider. When you first walked in there to the right, there was a nice coffee bar with ice water or coffee or tea and they were playing bingo in that room at the time, and that was nice. And then, there's a theater room that they have, which also they have activities in there. They had a person bring in a whole bunch of parrots that were able to visit with the patients, and they enjoyed interacting with them. The dining room is getting a fresh coat of paint right now. So we did not see the dining room, but you can kind of picture it. And then we went on the elevator and went up to a room. The hallways are clean, bright, and wide, and the rooms are beautiful, very clean. Everything is cheerful. All the people who live there seem to be happy."

"The staff is wonderful and friendly at the time they gave the tour in American House Sterling Meadows. They are very nice, and I can't say anything bad about it. I saw the dining room, and it was very nice. I think they had entertainment that day, so there were people in the lobby or community center. They had a Christmas bazaar going on or something like that. There was Christmas music playing, and lunch time was going on. I didn't like the rooms because I thought they were old looking and very dingy. Everything is very nice in the lobby. It is a three story building, and it used to be a single apartment. It is just an older building. I was looking for a place that was all on one floor so my mom didn't have to deal with an elevator. "

"I liked Arbor Inn because of the caring and knowledgeable staff, the beautiful room looking out on a courtyard, and the amenities. They had a great game room, salon, nice dining room, variety in the menu, and also different doctors like podiatrists available. They're willing to provide all the information."

"Wynwood is a beautiful, very well maintained and very clean facility. They are very good to my mom and they're very nice people. I'm very happy with them. Mom's not crazy with the food but I tried it and I thought it was good. They could improve on their entrance, they did a renovation but I couldn't understand their entrance and that needs help. "

"American House was nice-looking and clean. It is also big. I got a good feel to it. I would recommend it. They have lots of activities. They have a monthly calendar for them. They did have a nice cafeteria. It was large and clean. I looked at one of their apartments and it was the smallest one but it was sort of under construction. It seemed fine though. I think I think if I were to put my aunt somewhere, it might be here at American House. It would be nice though if the staff showed me more than just one apartment. "

"The care is excellent. Staff is very personable. It is a small group setting so everyone gets individual attention. There's a lot of joy in laughter in the house. Residents are usually one or two to a bedroom. Outings are planned for residents on a regular basis and birthdays and other holidays are celebrated well. They also manage medicine and doctor visits and provide visiting nurse services. It isrun by a beautiful family. "
