"The frontline staff is the reason this place feels like family. The staff has the challenge of creating a lot from a little budget, but they do it with grace, including raising their own funds to take the residents on day-trips to Belle Isle and the like. The place doesn't look fancy, but it's always clean. My mother was well taken care of and integrated into the daily life of the whole building the entire three years she lived here. Her passing was grieved by the whole staff and fellow residents. While I always asked for more (more music for dementia residents!), I couldn't "have asked for more." "

"I'm very happy with Mission Point of Detroit. They're clear, concise, and have communicated very well with me. My mom is in a private room and I like the place to be very small, small, and intimate, as well as the amenities they offer. They have a sitting area outside, an activities room, and I like the activities director too. They do bingo and some other board games as well, on top of physical therapy."

"The staff dropped my father on two occasions here. He was not that heavy, they were simply careless. The staff manager yelled at him for dropping a plate; I believe his name is Ted. If you have family here please let them be seen by another doctor. He was getting therapy after one of his legs was amputated and he DIED while in their care. We were informed over the phone of this and the receptionist seemed more concerned that we fill out the paperwork; we were not shown any compassion. The pictures on the site are also not an accurate representation of the living conditions. Take a look at the facility and see for yourself. His window couldn't even close all the way; when I informed the staff they did nothing to fix the problem, in the middle of February! Not recommended. If we could do it all over again he never would have came through their doors. "

"My aunt stayed in Riverview Jefferson Health and Rehab. She stayed there for rehab. It was clean. It was manageable. Everybody was respectful. It was very nice and very well-kept. In terms of the staff and the services they provided for her, they were OK. They were fine. No problem. The staff members were resourceful. They're still getting back in touch with me and her about her outside care and everything. I didn't have any problems with them, and she didn't either. In terms of activities, they had art, they played bingo, they had ice cream socials, people came in for entertainment like bands, and they took them out sometimes to shopping like WalMart. My aunt enjoyed the food. She said the food was good."

"When I came to the villa I could not walk or do for myself and the staff help me get back on my feet and walk my arm was cut open and I could not use it and the staff also help me be able to use my arm again the staff and care was wonderful and I am happy they were able to get me back to been myself."

"I visited Sheffield Manor and the whole community is marginal. I wouldn't say it's the lowest and they're also not the best. The staff is sometimes helpful and sometimes not. The rooms need to be updated. It could be the right fit for the right type of person. They can improve on customer service. "

"My experience with this provider was fairly, pleasant. On every visit to my grand mother the staff accommodated myself and other family members who were visiting properly. No facility is perfect and I rated them based upon other factors that I observed that may be small to you and I but can at times stress those who are patients. The staff were nice and efficient considering their work loads, which seems to be excessive, there had to be over 10 patients per staff member so if my grandmother called for help she had to wait a very long time. The facility is also a tad smaller than I would prefer, they do have empty land on their lot, they need to expand. My grandmother seemed so cramp all the time. Amenities were adequate, I think that they should offer a beauty shop for them so that families don't always have to worry about hair care for their loved ones. I did appreciate that they at times had activities for the patients, that included those who were able the opportunity to leave the facility. Over all, I was satisfied with the service that they provided to my family, I just wish that the Managers and Supervisors could see that making the staff have a heavy work load takes away from the patients and our loved ones. "

"I sent Mom to Samaritan Manor because it is a better place for her to be. It seems they are better able to take care of her here than in the previous facility she was in. The staff always seem to be working around, and working with the patients every time I am there to visit. It seems to be a nice place. Mom does not have any complaints about the food. I would just suggest them to lower down their pricing. "

"My first impression: The young lady named Melinda who answers the phone is an asset to this facility. She is extremely polite while providing Excellent Customer Service. Also, Sherry the Business Office Manager along with the Social Worker, Tiffany are outstanding! Tiffany is very passionate and goes above and beyond her job description to help my brother. Sherry is extremely informative and knowledgeable of her job! The group of individuals mentioned makes this nursing home Phenomenal!"
