"I was able to see the memory care at Elk Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care, the dining room, and the front area. I like the people and the staff. They all seem very attentive to the residents. Even though my tour was canceled, the person who came out to talk to me wasn't the person who was supposed to give me the tour because she didn't go since she couldn't give it. She was very kind and she cared. The facility was clean and was very nice. Their dining room was clean, it was large and it looked like a restaurant. Everybody looks safe, there wasn't anything alarming to me when I was there. Someone walked towards the door and they just started talking to him, asking him where he was going, and then just kind of redirected him. But the doors are locked, so it's okay."

"We checked the assisted living at Bedford Estates Senior Living. However, since we also have concerns that my father-in-law may be having dementia maybe in the near future, we were also looking at someplace that he could possibly transition from one to the other, so I like that they have both assisted living and memory care. It would have been perfect; it would have been great. We talked with the nurse, and she was just a cute thing. She would have worked with my father-in-law's medications, so it would have been a really good idea. I also like that they have individual rooms that can be like their own apartment. They would still have their own space. Everyone I met there was lovely too. They have an area where they could go outside, but they wouldn't be bothered. It's like a little park. The building was built around a courtyard in the middle, so that was very nice. Dad would love that. With them having food and everything, it would have been like being at a restaurant all the time, so my father-in-law probably would have enjoyed that, too. We talked with the dietitians when we were there as well, and they would have prepared his meal exactly like he wanted it, so it was kind of nice too."

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"We signed up and have Mom in an apartment at Meadowood Assisted Living & Memory Care. Great people, great facility, great staff. The room size was good. The cleanliness was better than expected, better than the other facilities, and seemed updated in comparison. Everyone's been friendly, helpful, going out of their way to assist, knowledgeable, and very good."

"We had a productive visit with staff while touring assisted living facilities in the area for our Mother. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and spacious. We especially like the covered front and back patio space. Overall, it is very nice senior living facility!"

"I toured Cedar Bluff Assisted Living and Memory Care. I met several of the staff, and they were very helpful and very inviting. When you first walk into their community, they have a very warm and inviting entrance, and the feel of it is very, very nice. It's a beautiful place, and walking through it, there are so many different things that I know my parents would be able to take advantage of like meeting others and having things to do to keep them busy and things like that. They had a very nice variety on the menu. The living spaces were very nice, too. They're going to be smaller than what they're used to, but they would be sufficient for a couple. Because it would be for my parents, the unit would probably be a deluxe model with a kitchenette. It would be very helpful because they can still have their own snacks, and if they want to have lunch there, they can provide for themselves and still feel like they're in their own place doing their own thing. The cleanliness and condition of the place was awesome. They were very clean, very bright, very open, very spacious as far as the hallways and elevators and things like that. It was very easy to move around in. From everything I saw, it was very nice, very clean and neat."

"I'm very pleased with Oxford Glen at Grand Prairie. The care is excellent. It's a very good facility. The staff is excellent. My husband seems to enjoy the food. They have chair exercises, bowling, and games. They keep them pretty busy, and they try to get them to participate. It costs a little more, but it's worth it."

"My mom will move into Morada Cedar Hill Assisted Living. I liked the staff, the location, the building, and everything about it. They provide a refrigerator and a microwave. The staff was wonderful, and there was a courtyard, like a picnic area."

"Teresa's House has gone the extra mile for my family. I cannot thank the staff and management enough. Godwin and his team are second to none. I sure wish we had known about Teresa's House sooner. Unfortunately, our experience with another facility was NOT even close to the care and comfort we received at Teresa's House. I wish I could rate this a 10-star facility!!! They deserve 10 stars not five. We need more businesses that care about their clients like Teresa's House."

"My mom transitioned to memory care from the assisted-living portion of Rosewood. The staff in memory care is outstanding and takes care of my mother very very well. I would recommend this facility to anyone who faced with these tough choices."

"We moved my dad to Bristol Park in Cleburne. He moved in at the beginning of the month. It's a lot cheaper and they are very nice. The staff there are wonderful. I think I've made friends with a couple of them. They waived the community fee for us which was $3000 and they let me negotiate my price. They're new. All their apartments aren't filled yet, so they're trying to get full. Even the executive director was in my dad's room, cutting his meat up for him and helping him eat. My dad's also legally blind, so everybody really goes in and helps him. This place is wonderful. The facility is beautiful. It looks like a 5-star hotel. They also have a petting zoo where they have donkeys and goats that people can feed. They can meet them at the fence and they can eat out of your hands. They have all kinds of activities daily for them to do. They have DirectTV and the internet, too. I haven't been involved in any activities, but it looks like they have a lot and they're willing to add more for just my dad's interests."

"My mom moved to The Mustang Creek Estates of Flower Mound. I loved everything about it. I loved the way they had it set up for the tenant. I loved that the staff have been very helpful and inviting. I love the programs that they have set for the tenants. They've answered every question that we've needed answered, and they've helped us with every step that we've needed help with. So, I highly recommend them. When I went in yesterday, they had live music entertainment for the residents."

"My mom moved into Midtowne Assisted Living and Memory Care. They seem very caring and concerned with each patient. They have a lot of activities to do as a group and individually. The care that she is getting and the attention that she's getting are good. They rally around each patient to get them involved in the group exercise. They did an outdoor exercise, and she was in a wheelchair, so they encouraged them to join in. They show them how to do it and let them do it on their own, and that's how they do it in all activities. They give each person individual attention to learning and being involved. The staff goes above and beyond. The very first night, they asked what she liked and what she was interested in earlier in life. They just wanted to know her and know about her, so I was very pleased with that, starting from the very first day. The food was good. It's been great, and my mom loves it. They have several different areas for the family to come and visit, and something for the family to do. They have a game room, which has a pool table. They have a movie room where the whole family can watch TV or play music, darts, and chess. There is also a dining area for the family if you reserve it, so your family can have dinner with your mom. There's a beautiful area to sit outside. It's a covered patio and a nice area to sit outside."
