"My aunt moved into Asher Point Independent Living of Lincoln. She is new there, but so far, it seems pretty good. It looks clean. The people seem friendly and helpful. And they're going to be adding some things that seemed nice. My experience with the staff members has all been nice. They have a library, a little area where they do their crafts, and a little outdoor area."

"The people in Savannah Pines were very professional and detail oriented. For example, when I walked in, they had a small sign on the table that welcomed me. I like the all-inclusiveness since everything is included in the price. The place is very clean and very nice, more like resort type living. How they do it is if you start in independent living and need assisted living, you just stay in your apartment and they handle it from there. There's not actually separate wings from what I can ascertain. I told them that I would like to come and show my family and they said just to let them know and we can eat a meal there. They were very gracious. They have a little theater with music every night or something going on there, they have billiards upstairs, a bridge room, a library, and they have a little fireplace in the hallways on different floors. When dining, you can go eat at the buffet or go into their little kitchen and order a sandwich. There's also fine dining where you can actually go for an a la carte type of thing."

"I'm on Chatelaine Residences' list for availability because I want at the main level and they do allow pets. Their manager was awesome. Any of the staff I met were excellent. As those apartments become available, they are updating them. That would probably be my number one place that I would move to except they don't provide any meals. They do have a big room with a full kitchen so I could go down there and prepare if I wanted to have family in. I could rent out the room or we could as a group if we got several people within there that wanted to have a meal that we could all share together, we could do that. That's why they have full kitchens. "

"Gateway is the best. I and my twin sister have lived at Gateway for 8 years. Our apartment is large with many windows. The natural light is wonderful. The food is outstanding. The nursing staff treats use well and like family, There are many scheduled activities throughout the day that keeps us active. Here at Gateway we have onsite therapy. There is also the other side that offers skilled nursing care if we need."

"Carriage Glen was a nice place, but they didn't offer a lot of extra activities, like church services. It seemed very elite, but my mother-in-law was not like that. It was nice, though. The dining area was small. Most of the people eat in their apartments because they have full kitchen facilities. They only bring in food four nights a week for evening meals, so I don't particularly care for that. If you're retired and in your 60s, I would say Carriage Glen is a perfect place to go, but if you need assistance and a little extra help, it's not. I think it's for younger people."

"We toured Legacy Estates several times and it just felt the most friendly, and we felt the most comfortable there. They have excellent staff plus they offer a lot. I think they offer about what everybody else is offering. I think they're really good and everything seems like it's in pretty good shape. We've eaten there and they've delivered food to our house. They have excellent meals. They also have underground, heated parking."

"We're on the waiting list for The Knolls Retirement Community. We chose it because it was more of a hotel senior living community versus a nursing home feel. The rooms were open and spacious. They had lots of amenities. They have a movie theater, hairdresser, lots of bingo, several restaurants, and lots of places for family to go. They have a walking trail outside of their building that's about a mile long with some benches along the way, and we really liked that. The staff during the tour was very friendly, helpful, and very pleasant. I was pleased with everything."

"We have chosen Legacy Terrace Retirement Community for my mother. It's very clean and inviting. The apartment that she's moving into looks new and you can tell that they've painted it and have clean carpet in it. It looks very nice and very well kept. The staff is great. We talked to Jocelyn the first time we visited. She was wonderful and she took the time to answer all of our questions. She made sure that she thoroughly explained everything. Then we talked to Nate when we brought my mom with us, and he did a great job also. The dining area looks like a restaurant, it looks very nice. We didn't see any activities, but we saw the calendar that was very well-rounded."

"Yankee Hill Village Home is a super clean facility that's on one level. It's very cozy and home-like. The staff is great, they make everybody feel very welcome from the very beginning. My mother-in-law is going into a memory care unit, so they're small but comfortable, and adequate for her needs. I don't want her sitting in the room all the time, so this encourages her to get out and be active with other residents and join activities. But at the same time, it's comfortable for her to just go in if she wants to be alone, or watch TV in her own apartment, then she's more than capable of doing that. The food was very good. It was a restaurant-style setting in the independent and assisted living area. And then in the memory care unit, it is family-style seating, so they get to be closer to each other and be able to have conversations while they're eating. It was quite a menu. They have a beauty salon, they have two in-house chapels, a wellness center, and they have a Friday afternoon club that they call Happy Hour with live entertainment. They also have various group activities as far as crafts, puzzles, and Bible studies. The staff has been absolutely wonderful and we're very happy with the facility."

"I toured Haven Manor Hickman. I think the place was great. That's not the only place I've ever been, but everything is just too expensive. I mean not that place, but other places. The staff was very nice and very polite. The rooms are small. The building was nice and fine. They have all the amenities. They do laundry, and they clean your house once a week. Everything is fine, it's just the money. I saw the dining area. It seemed nice. The least I liked about it was that it doesn't have as much closet space as I would like to have."
