I was a resident of Legacy Estates. It set the standard very high. The best part about it was that the employees were concerned about you. They wanted to make sure everything was satisfactory. The place was outstanding. The activities were also outstanding.

Legacy Estates is a big building. The cost is too much, too. The staff who gave the tour was very informative. We got to see a couple of apartments where people live. Their base price was higher than any place that we had been to. Since we did not know at that time what level of care my sister might need to add to that base price, that sort of made us not even look further there. The upkeep was very nice though. And it's like a little village, so everything is clean and there are a lot of people around.

We toured Legacy Estates several times and it just felt the most friendly, and we felt the most comfortable there. They have excellent staff plus they offer a lot. I think they offer about what everybody else is offering. I think they're really good and everything seems like it's in pretty good shape. We've eaten there and they've delivered food to our house. They have excellent meals. They also have underground, heated parking.

Legacy Estates's rooms come in all sizes and you have to put in for the size you want. The residents were pleased with living there.

The dining area of Legacy Estates was cafeteria-style. It was fine. The main walkway looked like a town, so I liked that.

I was very pleased with The Legacy. It’s very nice and seemed to be run very well. I thought they were all doing a good job and were all very friendly. The rooms were generously sized and were very clean.

Legacy Retirement is fantastic! There is a reason this place has been voted the "Best of Lincoln" since 1998. The homes are quaint and comfortable; the staff is beyond helpful; and the meals are planned with great attention to guest needs and satisfaction. There is virtually nothing negative about the facility other than the fact that it can't be located everywhere in the world for everyone to experience. My family even got to meet Jerry Joyce who was as polite and caring as they come. My grandmother is still an able bodied woman despite her minor health concerns and she is still treated with respect as she should be. She loves the Legacy homes and knew when the time came that this is where she would want to be. The price is a little steep, but you pay for what you get. All in all it really is worth it.

This facility is as close to a real home in a real village as I have ever seen. Should I someday need care, I hope I could afford to live there. I experienced it six weeks in a row as my Lifelong Learning Institute here in Lincoln, Nebraska provided space there for our class to meet. I lingered after class to enjoy the shops and reminisce about decades of long ago when people smiled and welcomed strangers. While living in New England for most of my life, I often drove my mother to visit her elderly friends in various "Nursing Homes." None came even close to Legacy Estates in Lincoln, Nebraska, the first facility where pleasant and happy faces greeted me. I am now 77 years old.
