"We went to Symphony Pointe. It's very new and it's beautiful and everything. But the apartments were smaller and the price was higher than the other facility. So that helped us with our decision. They were very friendly. We had lunch there and lunch was delicious. They're like a restaurant. You just go whenever you want to and order off of a menu, which is nice. But you don't go in a dining room setting where there are either residents. But it was lovely. It was very nice, but it's just not a right fit for us. The one thing was they had a pool, which that drew me. But the price, we just had to go with the right price for us."

"My mother went to Harmony Court. It is good. It's not the best, just because they don't have all meals. My brother placed her, so I don't know how much he paid, but it's probably a little bit more economical. It's clean and orderly, and they have some amenities. Their kitchen is closed, so they're delivering food right now."

"Heritage Ridge was awesome but very expensive. They had a library with a coffee maker. A lot of people from my church go there. The staff was very friendly. "

"I was very impressed with Richmont Village Independent Senior Living, and so was my daughter. My sister is living in a tri-level home that has steps everywhere you go, and she is living in the family room, which is the same size as one of the rooms at Richmont. And that's where we would like to put her because it's close for all of us to visit her. The staff who gave the tour was very good. We told her what we needed. My sister has a cat and said that would not be a problem. And she said that she could hire someone to clean the litter box. My sister still does her own laundry, but laundry would be available. I think they clean every other week. With regard to meals, either go to the dining room or they will bring the meals to my sister's room. And to me, that would be a plus. The dining area was beautiful. We toured two different residences, and the residents were there. One had a lot of big furniture and stuff, so the room looked really small. But the next one we saw, the resident didn't have a lot of furniture, so it looked a lot bigger. I noticed that most of the people there had walkers or small wheelchairs. They had a beauty salon and a little convenience store. They have a schedule of activities that they can do. Overall, I was very impressed. And the staff who gave the tour was very thorough and she answered all our questions."

"This place was a blessing to me! I was fortunate to move there being younger to help my mom and take care of my disability. They accommodate me well and others. Gained many friends. Staff helpful, resourceful. Great driver and big perk for appointments etc. Good size place and pricing. Fun people. Learned lots from many diverse people from all over military to stay home mom's etc. Awesome activities and potlucks.. feel good mom is there while I had to move on and be with kids and out of state. Helped her transition into new beutiful one bedroom. She has many friends. Friendly place. Help each other out. In good and bad times. Geunily care for neighbor I felt. One plus for me I lost 70 pound's from just there little space of some exercise equipment, esp when weather bad, and needed something indoors. Wonder memories of coffee with many fine folks in morning I miss. Blessed to be able to still even though I'm not longer a resident. I'm welcomed and they message me and call me son and always a home away from home. Look forward to Future going see Mom and see new stuff they've done. Love you all. Please consider it. Lots to do and make life easier for an affordable housing. "

"I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the facility. This was very important to us while we were searching for placement for my mother. The staff is very friendly, and took time to make sure we understood how everything worked. We viewed several different size apartments before choosing a larger one bedroom. I was surprised at how spacious the apartment is. It allowed us to move a lot of her things in, to make it feel as home-like as possible. "

"I've visited The Wellington. The staff is wonderful, it's a nice community where people want to stay and make a home. They had a workout facility, they had a large eating space that could be moved to other things, and they had several small gathering places for games and interaction with other residents. Their staff members were super nice. They've been long-term workers who have been there for a while."

"I toured Connect55+ La Vista. They were very friendly. It had a nice floor plan. I like the whole community, and the way it's laid out. It's easy to get in and out of, which is important to me because it's just right off of Q Street. I like the whole layout. They walked me around to show me the clubhouse, and I liked that. The people were so very friendly, and Jessie was so very friendly. I just liked it all. I thought it was great. They have a book club, lots of activities, and that was important to me, too."

"I toured Trinity Village with my dad when we were looking. Everything was very good. It was very organized and clean. It looks like it had everything they need for all stages. The worst thing about it is simply the size of the rooms were quite small for my dad and mom. They weren't ready for that yet. It looked like it had more than enough amenities for that stage of people in their lives. They had a gym, a salon, and a library."

"I've been here at Ralston House for over a year now. Now that they changed management, it's awesome. The people are friendly and people get together and play cards and visit. It's a nice area. They've got a beautiful courtyard. I have a nice one-bedroom apartment. I'm on the first floor, so I don't have to go upstairs or anything. It's very affordable for me. Everybody gets their own food. The residents get together and visit. It's just apartment housing for the elderly 55 and up. It's very clean and everybody cleans their own apartment. I have family members that come in and clean my apartment for me once a week. They get my trash out and everything. It's a nice facility."

"It seemed very adequate and very clean. I looked at their one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They were very roomy, and the layouts were great. They had a craft and activity room, a beauty and barber facility, lots of common space, a movie theater, and an exercise room. The staff seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. They had the same things that almost everybody had, like they had travel provided for scheduled events and medical transportation."

"Aksarben Village was really beautiful. The facility itself was classy, updated, and lovely. The staff was really lovely, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well-organized. The layout was lovely, and I was impressed with that facility. They had a nice dining room, workout room, courtyard, large and spacious communal areas for socializing. They also have a salon, and a little gift shop where residents could purchase cards and small gifts for family members. I thought the amenities there looked wonderful. It was spectacular."

"I toured multiple facilities, but kept coming back to this one for the friendly atmosphere. No one looks forward to their parents going to a retirement community, but this is exactly what we needed. A community that seemed to support each other and enjoy themselves. Mom is very happy. "

"I live in a small one-bedroom apartment in Arboretum. I selected it based on the recommendations of my friends. It is nice place and not the most expensive. The food is very good, but I do not always eat there because I have a built-in kitchenette, which is in every apartment. The staff is very helpful and nice. "
