I visited this facility

I was very impressed with Richmont Village Independent Senior Living, and so was my daughter. My sister is living in a tri-level home that has steps everywhere you go, and she is living in the family room, which is the same size as one of the rooms at Richmont. And that's where we would like to put her because it's close for all of us to visit her. The staff who gave the tour was very good. We told her what we needed. My sister has a cat and said that would not be a problem. And she said that she could hire someone to clean the litter box. My sister still does her own laundry, but laundry would be available. I think they clean every other week. With regard to meals, either go to the dining room or they will bring the meals to my sister's room. And to me, that would be a plus. The dining area was beautiful. We toured two different residences, and the residents were there. One had a lot of big furniture and stuff, so the room looked really small. But the next one we saw, the resident didn't have a lot of furniture, so it looked a lot bigger. I noticed that most of the people there had walkers or small wheelchairs. They had a beauty salon and a little convenience store. They have a schedule of activities that they can do. Overall, I was very impressed. And the staff who gave the tour was very thorough and she answered all our questions.

Richmont Senior Living was OK. They give you two meals. They offer linen services and housekeeping for you once every two weeks. They deliver your packages to you and take them to your apartment. They have a garden patio. It's an older facility, but the upkeep was very good. The lady who did the tour was very kind, very professional, and caring.

My mom is staying at Richmont Village. The interaction with the staff is mostly positive. They have great people working in food service and maintenance. They have great people that work on the business end of it. The rooms are large and nice. It had a nice-sized living room, a small kitchen, nice side bedrooms, and a bathroom. My mother is in a two-bedroom apartment. They do outings, like going to restaurants and places for lunch. They do craft classes. They have music and entertainment. They put on social events for the family. They have a courtyard, a beauty salon, a library, a community room, laundry facilities, and a workroom for anyone interested in woodworking. Overall, the experience was very positive. They provide two meals a day.

Richmont Village was a fairly new facility. They have some newer-looking amenities. The only downgrade on the tour was not having as much time to look at it, but it was towards the end of the day. It was not a scheduled tour, but we did give the staff notice that we may be dropping by just to check-in. I think there were others that she was having to deal with as well. We got an expedited tour, probably about a 40-minute tour, as well as having the time to discuss some of my father's needs, just so she had stuff for her notes in case we decided to go with Richmont, which we probably are leaning heavily towards right now. They had newer air-conditioner-type units, not that big old unit beneath the window. It's more of a central air type. The dining area looked nice and clean; I had no issues there. Everything looked good from what we were able to see. We've got some recommendations, too, from a couple of other friends who have parents staying there. They provide trips for certain activities, whether it's going on a hiking trail or visiting lakes, or going shopping.

Everybody in Richmont Village was extremely happy. The staff was really happy, and the residents were all smiling. Everybody there was nice. The staff was great. It seemed like a really nice place to go. When you go into these kinds of facilities or a nursing home, sometimes they do not smell that fresh; it wasn't like that in Richmond Village. It was just really, really, really nice, and clean. It's a big place, but nice. Kim was the one who assisted us, and she was really nice and informative. She explained a lot more than the other facility we visited. They were just really nice to deal with, and it was really nice to talk with them. If I had to be in a facility, I would want it to be like that because they had some great stuff in there. The place was immaculate. They had great facilities and things that they do for the residents.

I visited this facility

I toured Richmont Village for my dad. when you first walked in It was very dark. There just wasn't any lights on, and it was just dark. I didn't like the appearance of their main area and the area where people could congregate was quite small. When we were there I think the people had already had lunch, and they were cleaning up. I'd say 01:00 pm or 01:15 pm. There was no one sitting in the courtyard or the lobby. In fact, there was no one to be seen anywhere, except a person at the desk. I was kind of surprised that there weren't more people just out visiting or talking with each other. It was just kind of gloomy. We met with one person, and she took us to see two available bedrooms. They were small and the living area was small. The entire place was smaller, square foot wise, than where my dad is right now, and it did not have as many windows to let natural light in. But it was very clean, and I was impressed with that. They did not have a varied list of amenities. The community bus that they have was taking people to a Wal-Mart or taking them to the grocery store. I didn't see if they had many other activities or if they were posted somewhere. It seems that it was more getting the people out.

The staff at Richmont Village was super nice and the place looked a little nicer than the other facilities. They have tons of activities, they do a lot of outings, shopping, they take them to do grocery shopping and all of their appointments. They had a library and a barber shop. It just seemed like there were more people in that place that were out and about and were engaging. It's nicely decorated too, there was nice stuff on the walls, and they had little seating areas with nice furnishing and stuff. About their meals, they sent me something home.

My mom has put in an application for Richmont Village. It was very nice. The people were very friendly. They showed us around and they did a nice job with that. The combination of what she was looking for and the price of it was her the best option. The rooms were nice. We saw a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom; she settled on a one-bedroom apartment with an apartment laundry. It fits her needs very well. The dining area was fine, but we did not have lunch there. They did all kinds of activities. They have church come in and they have exercises and crafts. The staff member who assisted us was very nice.

Richmont Village was really nice. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were nice, and they had a garden in the back. The dining area was nice, and the food looked good. My brother would love to be there, but he didn't make enough. It would be good for any family. They keep them busy. They have games, bingo, canasta, and card games. It was really pretty there.

I am/was a resident of this facility

The adjustment of moving to an Independent Senior Living facility from a comfortable family home, for many of us, was huge. It can be more of a challenging than most of us realize which makes the right choice very important. Our search for the right place began several years ago and culminated in the choice of Richmont Village. First: We were treated by the tour personnel in way that communicated a caring vision for persons looking for a place to spend the latter years of life, offering accommodations that actually exceeded our expectations at an affordable price. Second: From the signing of the agreements, to the moving in process, and to the warm welcome, the Staff has demonstrated a high degree of excellence. Clearly their goal was to make us feel like we were joining a family rather than an institution that houses residents. Finally: We are particularly impressed with professionalism and compassion of the Executive Director, Jennifer P. She is unwavering in her commitment to the care of the Richmont Village family. The commitment to excellence is reflected in her entire staff. It’s a pleasure to call Richmont Village “home”.

Richmont Village is very nice, but they’re a lot more expensive. You have to sign in and out, or be buzzed in and out, and we liked that. They have an excellent menu, but it seemed to be a little bit bigger than what we were looking for. You can bring a pet in and we appreciated that. The rooms were pretty nice, they’re closed in with a garden area, and they have an elevator. They will take people to outings once a week, to the casino, or to the stores, and that's very nice.

I liked Richmont Village a lot, I thought it would be ideal for my sister. She could be independent, and if she got worse she can go into assisted living. The apartment was nice and it wasn't too tiny. They had a nice dining area, and they had several different living options and an apartment available. It's not as expensive and seemed to be a good value for the money.

My parents are on the waiting list of Richmont Village. The place is clean and well-organized. There are lots of activities. The staff members are professional and pleasant. It is a great location. They have a courtyard, and their outdoor facilities are nice. The rooms are contemporary, well laid-out, and very spacious. There is lots of natural lighting and big windows. They have shopping, trips, game night, music coming in, and Sunday drives. They have transportation for doctors' visits and things like that.

Richmont Terrace was the one that we selected for Mom. The reason we selected it was the professionalism of the staff and we thought the facility was excellent. The room was spacious and had more storage than the other places we saw. They had a library, activities room, and laundry room that the residents could use or the relatives could use. They had a nice outdoor court and balconies. It's only a couple years old and it's in excellent condition. The dining area was average-sized and just very nice. We liked that it also had a memory care unit. My mom is 94 and she may eventually have to go to the memory care unit, and we liked that we wouldn't have to move her again.

I sent a deposit for Richmont Village. We liked it; the staff seemed very nice, and the people were very friendly. The rooms were a nice size, laid out very well, and had ample closet space. Plus, there's room if she wants to put in a washer and dryer. It's clean and well maintained. The location is going to work very well for our convenience, and there are nearby places Mother can drive to. They had two shopping trips a week, and a weekly outing to a restaurant. Mother liked this the best.

Richmont Village is really a great place. Everybody is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They have all kinds of activities, like shopping, trips, and bingo games. The layout is very convenient and nice. My apartment overlooks a courtyard. It is closed in by the building, so it is secure, and I like that.

I liked Richmont Village and could afford it. They had some apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, although I really don’t need two bedrooms. They also had a storage room that goes with the apartments plus a larger one in the basement you can pay for. I have a lot of yarn I would like to have in a storage room. Each of the individual apartments had its own little cubicle that you can put a lock on. I can take my dog, so that was a big plus, too. The kitchen in the apartments was fantastic. It had a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal all in the apartment. Most other places don’t have all of these appliances. They had a van or a bus that will take you to your doctors’ appointments. There were certain days that they go to the doctor’s office and certain days that they go to the grocery store.

Richmont Village is very new and reminds me of a hotel. It's nicely decorated. My father-in-law is on the 1st floor. The staff is very nice. The rooms and the units are different sizes and I like the size of the unit that he's in. It has a kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator, but since he doesn’t cook, he has meals provided. I particularly like the activity schedule for the residents. It’s a varied program that includes day trips, visiting musicians, and has a lot going on.

Richmont Village is the one that we went to. My parents actually love it, and we all love it. My mom actually put a deposit there. She really wanted to go there, but they decided that she didn’t know if she was ready to leave her home. But Richmont Village was wonderful. It’s brand new, it’s absolutely beautiful, and we love it. The apartments were spacious. We had a free meal in the dining room, and the food was delicious. The people that we met that work there were all very courteous and very professional. We just like everything about it.

Richmont Village was a newer place that will open up its assisted living and memory care facility soon. It was one of my choices for my mom. I really liked the personnel because they sat down and talked to me, asked me a lot of questions, and got a lot of history about me and my mother. Nobody else did that. I liked them a lot, but their assisted living facility just wasn't ready yet.
