"I toured The Brant at Gretna. It was beautiful. I would have gone there had it been closer. It's not that far. It's just off the beaten path, the way my kids go. I did have food there, and the food was very good. It has a meal plan similar to the other facility, where you're allowed so much towards meals every month with your rent. And then, if you have more, you pay for some. You can get two meals a day. They had a washer and dryer and a smaller kitchen, not as big, which was fine with me because that's part of my problem. I'm tired of cooking, but the apartments were about the same. The person who took me around was good. She called back about a week later and wanted to know if I wanted to come and see it again. She was very good at her job."

"I visited Risen Son Christian Village. I went and talked to the guy and looked at the apartment for my sister. You walked down the hall and the staff was just very nice and acknowledging. The rooms were small, and that's one of the reasons why she didn't pick it. Everything looked nice. It was clean. The dining area was nice and clean."

"I went to the Arboretum on Farnam Drive. They took me through the place, and it was about an hour of presentation, so it's good. They're just apartments, and the staff was fine. They have balconies and patios, which I was interested in, and they only have one meal a day, which is an option."

"My grandfather went to Franciscan Centre and it helped him stay home with Grandma safely. She needed a break from caregiving, but he needed a break from being home too! We told him he was going to "volunteer" like he had for years at a local hospital, and it helped him go comfortably to the Centre. There are caring staff who know what to do for individuals with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. "

"Aksarben Village seemed brighter and cheerier than other places. I liked the floor plans and the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments, but unfortunately, their meal plan was breakfast and then you pick lunch or dinner and that doesn't work for my in-laws because they sleep late. They had a very nice theater room with theater seating with a giant screen. They also had a Catholic service there on Saturdays and other activities that were explained to us. They had a shuttle that will take you to different shopping facilities that are close by. The food service was good. We were impressed with the facility."

"I visited Remington Heights while looking for an assisted living facility for my father-in-law. Hannah was awesome to work with. She provided a lot of information during the tour. The room sizes were nice and I felt the services were affordable. She explained the different levels of care well so I could estimate costs. The facility itself was spacious and clean. There were lots of thoughtful touches in the rooms, such as LOTS of grab bars in the bathrooms, and automatic lights that turned on in the closets when the closet door was opened, and hooks on the back of the bathroom doors. There were also lots of places to sit all around the facility, including a bench in the elevator (great idea). I liked how visitors were required to sign in and checked for COVID symptoms before entering. The residents I interacted with seemed happy to be there. One thing that set Remington Heights apart after the tour was Hannah's level of follow-up. She checked in with me to see how my search was progressing. Unfortunately, we discovered shortly after the tour that my father-in-law's cancer had come back, and he is going to need some intensive treatment in the short-term. While Remington Heights provides free transportation to medical appointments, I decided I needed to choose a facility for him that would be closer to where I live. But if that hadn't been the case, they would have definitely been a top choice. The level of activities offered, the services provided, and the cost (especially the lower community fee compared to other facilities) made this a serious contender. "

"I don't know what others have seen at Skyline but my experience was totally different!! The people that live there are very well taken care of and the place looks very nice and clean. The entrances can be confusing but once you know your way around its not a problem at all and definetly no reason not to send your loved one there. Our loved one was recently there for a rehab visit and there care and rehab was top notch. The new owners have really started to turn the place around. Its nice to have a facility in the Benson/Omaha area that offers great care. We don't have to send our loved ones all the way across town to receive quality care. Thanks for all you did while our mom was there!! "

"I visited and selected The Heritage at Sterling Ridge because it was brand new and it was less than 3 miles from my home. The staff was excellent. The food was restaurant quality, and it was very good. "

"I chose Avidor Omaha for myself because it's an active community. My apartment is wonderful and we have everything here that you could think of. We have a theater room, exercise room, and common areas. Something is going on all the time. We are provided with breakfast every morning and the food is good. The staff is also wonderful and we have cleaning people that come in once every other week."

"I've been here at Ralston House for over a year now. Now that they changed management, it's awesome. The people are friendly and people get together and play cards and visit. It's a nice area. They've got a beautiful courtyard. I have a nice one-bedroom apartment. I'm on the first floor, so I don't have to go upstairs or anything. It's very affordable for me. Everybody gets their own food. The residents get together and visit. It's just apartment housing for the elderly 55 and up. It's very clean and everybody cleans their own apartment. I have family members that come in and clean my apartment for me once a week. They get my trash out and everything. It's a nice facility."

"I like Sunridge Village. However, it is independent living and my husband feels that we should be looking at assisted living places. Nevertheless, I like it. I like the atmosphere. I like the fact that it was independent living but that they also provide activities and transportation. They also have their own med alert system. There are a lot of things that are good about it. They have kitchen in each apartment, so if you don't like the food you can cook your own meals. I like the woman who took me around. She was very open to questions. She spent as much time with me as I wanted, and she tried to give me a comprehensive view of what was going on. She was fine. I would move into Sunridge Village myself."

"We're on the wait list at Fountain View Senior Living. I was very impressed with how personable they were and they spent a lot of time with us. My daughter went with me. They have 15 units, and they're more like studios. They have a courtyard and a common area where they have a few activities. The staff was very nice. Everybody seemed very friendly and personable. It had kind of a family atmosphere. It was very beautiful, very up-to-date, modern, clean, bright, and friendly."

"I toured Connect55+ La Vista. They were very friendly. It had a nice floor plan. I like the whole community, and the way it's laid out. It's easy to get in and out of, which is important to me because it's just right off of Q Street. I like the whole layout. They walked me around to show me the clubhouse, and I liked that. The people were so very friendly, and Jessie was so very friendly. I just liked it all. I thought it was great. They have a book club, lots of activities, and that was important to me, too."

"We're going to put my parents in Immanuel Village. My mom liked it. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, and the price was really good. Everybody was very nice. They knew all the residents' names. I was just very impressed. We're going back for a luncheon. The apartments themselves were very spacious and each of them has their own balcony. The bedrooms were big enough for a king-sized bed. It had newer kitchens. It had a beautiful garden area where they could go out. It's got a fish pond and walking trails. We saw restaurant-style food. We didn't get to taste it, but it looked beautiful. They have an area where if the residents want to go and plant their own flowers, they can. It's huge. There are six floors and they have an elevator, so getting around is very easy. They have a gym, a beauty salon, and a shuttle service. On Mondays they take everybody to the grocery store. They go on certain outings. The staff member during the tour was awesome. It was very clean."
