I chose Avidor Omaha for myself because it's an active community. My apartment is wonderful and we have everything here that you could think of. We have a theater room, exercise room, and common areas. Something is going on all the time. We are provided with breakfast every morning and the food is good. The staff is also wonderful and we have cleaning people that come in once every other week.

My mother-in-law moved into Avidor Omaha last July. We liked the balance of social events that they had and their affordability. She has an apartment, it's a one-bedroom with a full kitchen. They have something almost every day. So it's all sorts of things, from fitness classes to art classes, happy hours, and parties. They kind of act like a resort staff, almost like concierge service, and everybody knows everybody's name. They're very, very friendly.

We've decided on Avidor Omaha because of the location, there are a lot of greenery and trees around, and because of their amenities. They have a pool, lots of activities, and modern architecture. Some of the staff members were not as helpful once you move in. They just work to get you here, but that's the marketing person so it's her job. There's another gal here that's very good. Breakfast is the only thing provided Monday through Saturday, it's a continental breakfast. I like that I can do my own meals and not pay for meals that I'm not going to eat. There are lots of activities with lots of options. They have movie nights, happy hour, exercise, they have outings off of the premises through carpool. There's no bus or van that's included. It's a new facility and they're still working out the kinks and issues with the new building. Everything must have been cleaned at night because every morning, it's fresh. It's not like a lot of other facilities where you have to buy in and pay a large amount, this is strictly rental.
