We went to Haven Manor. We toured the whole building. It wasn't a very homey place to be. The decor, the structure, and the hallways weren't homey. The dining room is one long area, but it's a hallway, too, to other places in the building. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and informative.

I toured Haven Manor Hickman. I think the place was great. That's not the only place I've ever been, but everything is just too expensive. I mean not that place, but other places. The staff was very nice and very polite. The rooms are small. The building was nice and fine. They have all the amenities. They do laundry, and they clean your house once a week. Everything is fine, it's just the money. I saw the dining area. It seemed nice. The least I liked about it was that it doesn't have as much closet space as I would like to have.

My mother has been a resident of Haven Manor for a couple of months. I really like the community and it's close to my home so I can visit every day. It's a very nice community. The staff is good so I'm pleased. She had an apartment with a living room, a dining area, a bedroom and a bathroom. It's very nice, and they also have different rooms. She has a patio door that looks out on the outdoors since she's one of those in the outer areas, there are probably 8 units like hers. They play a variety of bingo, they have a hair salon, a nice little theater, and if you want them to take you to appointments, they will for a fee. They have been keeping me updated with regards to the lockdown. The dining hall is easily accessible for her, and the community area where they do bingo and stuff is also in the center and accessible. In terms of pricing, they're very comparable to everyone else and maybe even costs less than some of the other places.

I like the layout of the apartment at Haven Manor. It's very simple, clean, and easy to move around. I like the appearance both outside and inside. The staff has been excellent and very helpful. The food, house cleaning, and medication have all been great, no problems whatsoever. My mother plays bingo three times a week, and she plays cards two days a week. She has as much as she wants to do.

My mother recently moved to Haven Manor. She is very happy there and quite pleased with the staff and available amenities. She also has commented on how much she enjoys being able to meet up with friends whenever she wants, but still can enjoy her privacy when desired. My experience, while visiting, is that each staff member met and interacted with was very pleasant and respectful of all of the residents. During my visit I was particularly impressed with the attention given to my mother. For instance, it was not unusual for a staff member to stop by to offer popcorn, cookies, or another snack or to let my mother know that a movie or sporting event was about to begin in the theater. Within the facility, in addition to the theater, there is a beauty shop, a museum (showcasing antique automobiles when I was there for a visit), and a small "store" that offered personal items at a reasonable price. The meals are made at the facility and smelled delicious. I also really like the way the facility is structured: each apartment is situated with a porch-like facade which gives a sense of home, and the hallway gives the appearance of a cobblestone street. All in all, I think that my mother is quite fortunate to be able to live at Haven Manor. It is a place that she enjoys and it gives me peace of mind that she is safe and well cared for.
