I toured The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard. It was very nice. The food was very good. The rooms and everything were clean, but it just didn't suit what we wanted. The kitchen was a kitchenette, it was too small. The staff was lovely and she's good. She has sent me news since then about what they're doing there, which is all lovely.

I chose The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard. It's an independent living facility rather than assisted living. It has many things that will benefit me. If you have medical insurance, they have physical therapy. They have an exercise room, a movie theater, and a card room. They play bingo, and they have arts and crafts and outings. There's a calendar that tells you every day what the outing is and if you want to go, you put your name in the book. There's a restaurant that's open from 7 to 7. The people are friendly. I'm very excited about moving in here. It's very well-kept. When you pull up in front of the front door, there's an overhang for people to get in and out. There are two benches outside the front door if you need to sit down. They have a little place that's open 24 hours if you want to get something to eat or drink. There's a north and a south area where the clients live. I'm on the second floor. Everything is neat. There's a pool and it's very well kept. It's a beautiful place. There was a particular woman who showed me the tour and my son. When we first went in for the tour, they had a room reserved for us. The light was on. They had a fresh plate of warm cookies that were homemade from the restaurant that's for new people coming in, and I think that's exemplary. She was wonderful. She asked me that if I moved in, I would have two months free just for moving in at that particular time which I couldn't do but she's amazing. She's a wonderful woman to get to know. The food is wonderful. There's a different menu every day for lunch and dinner. You can take it out. You can go into the front, order your meal, you can wait, and you can bring it back up into your room.

I'm at the Pointe at Ocean Boulevard. I like it because it's just one price a month and that's it. You don't have to worry about anything else. They're very good at taking me to doctor appointments or to the bank or whatever. They have very good staff. One day, the food is good, one day it's not, but everything is edible. The facility is very nice. They have bingo, card games, and a lot of small things like that.

The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard only had independent living, but it's a very nice facility. They had a beautiful dining room, and then they had another room called the bistro. It's open 24 hours a day, so if they have something in the dining room that you don't care for, for dinner, you can get something from the bistro. You can take it up back to your apartment. The food choices were very good. You can get a salad, a sandwich, or soup, so it's very desirable. As far as pricing, they were probably the best pricing, too. I met with the one guy, Connor, and he's like the sales counselor, but you don't have to buy into the place. You don't have to buy a unit. He gave me the tour. He was the one I've spoken to the most in the past couple of weeks. He's very knowledgeable and very nice. I had a good rapport with him. The only downside is if the day comes when you need assisted living, you have to move to another place.

The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard was more like a condominium type of thing. It was very, very nice. It was upscale. The food was great there. Everybody was very friendly. It was very clean. I was very impressed with the room that we saw. They had what looked like a regular fancy restaurant with tablecloths and linens. They had like eight pages on the menus to pick what you wanted to eat, and it wasn't like assigned feeding type of stuff. It was also very clean. They had lots of activities to do for the patients, but they didn't have a nursing staff. The rooms were very, very spacious. I think if my in-laws were more on their own, it would be great. However, I don't think they had the staffing thing that would take you down to the dining room if you needed it. My in-laws are just not at that stage right now. They have a beautiful courtyard. They have everything you could think of. They would take you out to go grocery shopping. They would take you out to go to the store. They would take you to the doctor. You just signed up for what you needed. It's an independent living, but they're there if you need to leave the facility to go someplace. I think the patients were even allowed to bring their cars there. They have parking for the patients that are there. It's an independent living, but you have peace of mind that they are not alone. If they needed somebody, there was somebody that would help them.

We looked at The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard. It was really nice. It looked like a resort. It was very clean. The apartments were a little small, but very nicely done. I didn't see a washer and dryer. They have things going on all the time. They have a pool, a gym, and arts and crafts rooms. The dining room looked very nice. It's plenty big enough. They have transportation, weekly housekeeping, a movie theater, a computer room, and a library. The facility was kept very nice. The staff there know what they're doing.

I went to The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard. The main facility was absolutely lovely and their food program was a wonderful central thing, but they're all apartments. I really don't want an apartment. The facility itself was beautiful. It had many more options and amenities than the other place, but I don't want apartment living. The fellow leading the tour was excellent and knowledgeable. He knew about the surrounding areas on the facilities. The apartments were small and it felt like assisted living more than independent living.

I toured The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard. It was great. They have great programs, great staff, you could tell everyone that lives there seemed very happy, so obviously the place promotes all of that, and the people feel at home. They're not in that place just to age there, they feel like they're at a house, and that's the thing that's very important for the elderly. They have a pool, they have exercises, they have movie theaters, they have a library, nothing but amenities and activities, and a calendar so that everyone can be aware of what's happening.

The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard was a very nice independent living facility. The doors of all the apartments opened into a courtyard instead of into a hallway. It was more like an apartment instead of a hotel. They had a garden, and they had a lot of activities. For food, they had a bistro that they could just go get food. They could either take it to their room, go out to the garden, or sit and eat at the restaurant. They had a regular menu. It wasn't like, "This is what we're eating today, and everybody has to eat this." You could order off the menu. That was our favorite place so far, and it was probably the cheapest. They have a veteran's discount. If you were enlisted during a war then you get almost like $1,900 a month. It was a really good discount, except my dad missed it by three months. Chip, who is the director there, was awesome. He was just so nice. He checked on us and tried everything he could do to help us get in there; it was just out of our reach. They let us have lunch there after the tour, so we had a meal there. They even gave me a calendar of activities and offered that my parents could come and be part of it if they didn't want to live there right away. Then they could check it out and see if they really liked it. They could just come in and do one of the activities that they wanted. They could check out the sewing club or whatever they wanted to do. If they want to come to have lunch, and check the place out again, they can do that too. If we could have afforded it, it probably would have been a go for us. My mom is a quilter, and they have a quilting club so that's good. I think they had puzzles too. They had a men's club for veterans. I don't know if it was just men or if it was veterans. I can't remember. They met for coffee, donuts, or Danish. It could be weekly or daily. They have different activities, like every day there was just a whole bunch of stuff. They had a garden where the people could go gardening. and there was a vegetable garden where they could go grow their own vegetables. A community garden, I guess is what you call it. The apartments were all very nice. We saw two or three of them. They have a 1-bedroom, a studio, and a 2-bedroom. Everything was very clean, nice, and up-to-date.

The experience that we had with The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard was very interesting. The restaurant was very good. The food was excellent. Everyone that we spoke with was very, very friendly and helpful. We found that the unit would be too small for us. We could get by with just having a one bedroom, but we needed two baths. The biggest one they got was only a one-bedroom, one bath. Otherwise, we liked it very much, and it was located in a very good place where you could walk to restaurants and grocery stores. The person who toured us was very informative and very friendly. She has called us back to see if there was anything that they could do to interest us about the place. They had a nice pool and two real nice outdoor courtyards where you could go out. They had activities too. They had a nice place where they would hold exercises. They also would take you out to your doctor's office. It would just be a little bit too much walking for us to go to the dining room.

We certainly found what we're looking for in The Pointe at Ocean Blvd, and this is where we will choose to go. They're a la carte and if you need extra things, they become available to you. They have an amazing amount of activities, like a lot of trips to stores, outings, picnics. The facility is very nice, it's a much older building, however, they're still in the process of renovating, but what they've done is beautiful. The food is very good. The gentleman who took us around, Chip, was amazing, very helpful, and pointed a lot of facts that we haven't thought about. It was a very good day for us. Everything was neat and clean. The apartment we looked at was nice and had everything we needed.

The apartments at The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard were very nice, but not as big as the others. They had arts and crafts, a library, get togethers, games, and a lot of things. The food was excellent. They had a cafeteria and an area where they can get snacks and coffee. The staff was very friendly.

The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard is a nice and comfortable place, I'm very impressed. They're doing a lot of some renovations right now. I like that it's not too big. Everyone seems friendly and nice, and the service is good. The food is also very good; I actually ate there a lot. The residents would go on trips to different places or the store. They have a happy hour, music, exercise classes, and a lot more.

The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard is very nice and clean. They're redoing a lot of it and making some nice improvements. It's inexpensive compared to others in the area. The people who worked there are very nice, and the people who lived there are quite happy. It's a good location. It's on a busy street, but it is very close to all doctors, so it's very convenient. The rooms are nice.

Everything seems fine for my mom. The atmosphere is very nice. The apartments are all redone, so everything is really nice in that regard. The food is good. They have a happy hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They bring in entertainment on Friday, so she's gotten into that. It seems like everybody is nice.

It was very nice at The Pointe. They were in the process of renovation, but they were not done yet. So far, it looked very good. I had problems with the apartments on the third floor. When you were on the third floor from the main building, you would have to go down two ramps to go to where the apartments were. If you wanted to go up the main building, you would have to go up the ramps, which were fairly steep. The food and the service were good. The residents were very friendly.

The only one that I considered a possibility was here, and I liked it there. The room was small but comfortable. The staff was accommodating. They do the housekeeping. As I recall, they had two meals a day, and the food was great.
