"I would put Lake Forest Park at the top. I really like it. There was room for our king-sized bed. We spent most of the time talking to the residents (which I really wanted to do), like how long they had been there and if they really liked it. We were in the area where we had buffet lunch, and they came around and talked to us. The upkeep looked good to me. People were out on their porches with their dogs. They're very friendly. They were showing people around. Their dining area was more like what I would call a campground. It was like a big screened-in dining room, and they had buffets. The buffet had different kinds of things. They had a lot of Greek salad, which I really like, and they had tacos for people who wanted tacos. You could go and get from different tables all kinds of food. I thought it was fun. I like it, and I like the fact that you could go and get different kinds of food from the buffet area. They said they were from caterers. It was some kind of an open house when we were there, and so that wasn't what they ordinarily ate. It's very formal. They have like costume parties and things like that. I asked if we got sick, could we have the nurse from the other area come over, and they said no. Assisted living was very different from independent living, and we would both be independent, and that was that."

"The gentleman who took us on the tour of Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens was very thorough in describing the services available, transportation, home help if necessary, and the ways to be transported. He was just very helpful. The library was beautiful. The dining room was beautiful. They had a nice therapy area and a workout area. The outdoor trails and pool area were beautiful. We were delayed a little bit because of another tour, but I know in that industry that's very, very common. That was the only complaint I have, and it was minutes, not hours. We were early, so it seemed longer. The dining room was very nice, very spacious, and very elegant."

"I toured Arcadia Gardens. They have just about everything. There seems to be a nice blend of people, mostly older women and a lot of them are on canes and things. They take nice care of themselves, but they have everything in there. They even have a movie theater, a restaurant, and a bar. I could see them drinking; they had cocktails hour. They have art classes. They have a gym, a library, and a room where you can meet people. For business or anything, you can use that room. Even more importantly, they have a wonderful staff who are very refined and welcoming, and they treat everybody very, very nicely. I looked at the one-bedroom and it was absolutely beautiful. It had a splendid kitchen, just right for an older woman. It had everything in it, all brand new stuff. It also had a screened-in porch, which was a very nice size for a small apartment. They have one bedroom, one bathroom, a huge storage closet, and a nice clothing closet. They have a very nice living room area and a dining room area as well that's connected. The kitchen has a counter and they had stools set up on the other side of the counter so that you could look into the kitchen. It was just beautifully done, and everything was sort of sparkling in there. The whole place is immaculate, which is very important to me. I'm a neat freak. Everything was just splendid. It was just lovely. There's parking like they have in the airport or in a lot of shopping malls where you're under the roof. You put your car there and it'll be safe and it'll be kept nice. It's beautiful. They invited me back to enjoy the music that they had there. There are terrific musicians. The people play cards. There's a little room to play cards. There's a big recreation room where they eat dinner and stuff. They have free breakfast, but I have to pay for my own Wi-Fi and electric utilities. "

"When I first walked in American House Stuart Lodge, I was completely impressed with the decor, the friendliness from everybody that was in the front lobby -- it's quite large -- and the friendliness of the gentleman who gave me the tour. He toured me around to several room options they would have, the dining area, the activity area, and the happy hour area. Everything was just beautiful. I want to come live there. I was very impressed with that facility. The places we visited seemed to have similar aspects, but that one was just A-plus level. They have a beautiful room with a fireplace that people can go in and just relax and watch the fire. The outside gardens were gorgeous to be outside and just enjoy the breeze and the sunshine. The front staff greeted me very graciously. The gentleman during the tour even sent me a follow-up email saying how nice it was to meet me. Everything was just high class."

"I visited Pinelake Gardens and Estates since it was near my daughter's place. It was a wonderful environment to move in. You could have your own place and hire someone for the maintenance of the yard. The place I wanted had three bedrooms, a den, formal dining area and a family area. I liked it because it was big and roomy. The facility was attractive and well-maintained. The atmosphere was quiet and there was no traffic. "

"We visited Harbor Place at Port St. Lucie. We looked at the two-bedroom apartments with a kitchen. They were very nice and spacious. They provided laundry service. It all looked very clean and well-kept. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly."

"I have been living in the Savanna Club. It's gorgeous. It's absolutely beautiful. We have three clubhouses, we have a restaurant, and we have a theater. From the day I rode into this place, I said, this is it. So we bought it in 2000, moved in 2004. So from 2004, I have lived here and I've loved every minute of it. I have a very nice house, it's 1400 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a beautiful Florida room, and I'm right on the water. You have everything here. You have everything from baseball to tennis, to everything else that you could want and have here. We have three pools, we have dancing, we have dance lessons. You can do something eight days a week here or do nothing. We have a beautiful golf course on the premises, we have eighteen hundred homes here, and It's three miles around."

"Extremely well managed and professional staff during the recent hurricane preparation challenges. Care and safety of residents is priority. Administrative personnel is available and responds promptly to concerns/suggestions. Therapy staff are creative for patient rehab and on-going care. "My friend is a resident of Devonshire at PGA National. It's very well maintained. It's very clean. It has very good food and has nice amenities. It's in a very good location. The apartments are very nice. The facilities are very nice. It looks very nice to me and the apartments that I've only seen, a few of them all seem to be very nice and the food is very good. I've had very little experience with the staff except maybe a waiter or a server. Whatever I've seen, the staff seems very good."
