This coastal city has a temperature range of 52 to 91 degrees and an air quality rating of 67 compared to the national average of 58. Money Magazine previously named Clearwater as a Best Place to Retire, and the city has many resources for seniors, including the CHORE program, which helps seniors maintain a decent, independent living environment. With a walkability score of 73 out of 100, Clearwater might be a great place for seniors to take a stroll to sightsee or run errands, and with seniors making up more than 20% of the population, it’s easy to meet new people in the same age group.
To help seniors discover the most senior-friendly locations around the country, Caring.com conducted a new study, “The Best and Worst Places for Senior Living.” The Caring Senior Living Report analyzes and ranks 300 cities and 50 states on the quality of senior living in that area. The cities were graded using 46 metrics across five categories: Health Care, Senior Living & Housing, Affordability, Quality of life, and Transportation.
