I have toured Lombardo Home. The owner was incredibly attentive and the staff was great. I've known a couple of other patients that have gone there and never had any issues at all. They're attended to every day, and they're given activities. The place is open enough for them to watch their patients, but private enough for them to have their own space. What struck me was the level of attention that they give to their patients. I saw the main entrance living area and a couple of bedrooms; they were a reasonable size. They do some very low-impact sitting exercises, they would attend to whatever the patients like to do, like crossword and jigsaw puzzles, TV, and games. I would call them very basic activities, but a lot of times, their staff is doing it with them or helping them navigate through the process, so they're not sitting around staring into space all day.

My mother is in The Lombardo Home, which is a small home with just six residents. It's wonderful. She has her own private room. It's a large room and she has her own things there. Even the double rooms are nice and large. She can have her own teacups, the food she likes, and all that. They provide wonderful care, and she's very happy there. They have people come in with music, animals, and so on. They have physical therapists, she eats her meals at the table with other people, and that's really nice. The house is all decorated like back in the '40s, so the elderly residents there feel right at home. They also have activities for the ladies. They have a small back room where they play Bingo and all that.
