"Willow Brooke Point Senior Living had some nice folks and it's a nice place. I went there a couple of years ago and had lunch with someone from the company, and the food was excellent. The staff were very informative, concerned, and have all the good attributes you could think of. One particular room that I saw was pretty nice because it looked out over a little pond. They had a good dining area as well and it was just very clean. It's a place where I would move if I had to."

"My parents have moved into the Primrose Retirement Community of Wausau. Everyone has been very open and welcoming. They've had a great reach out to them for being new. People were stopping in, checking if they wanted to attend any of the activities and things planned. They've had an opportunity to pretty much eat with someone new every day. It's probably been about as easy as a transition as I would have expected it to be. It is still challenging leaving their house, but they felt that the people there cared for them and their well-being. My parents' room has a nice walk-in closet, large bathroom space, plenty of storage between hallway closets, cabinets, and things like that. There are lots of room for that. There's a nice view out the window because it's more of a country setting. There is a wide variety of food. You can request an alternative 24 hours ahead of time if you don't like what is being served the next day. For the amenities, there is a movie theater, an ice cream parlor, a pub, a gaming room, and an exercise room. They have bingo, crossword puzzles, card games, sing-a-longs, and community movie nights. It has a covered front porch area with rocking chairs. It has a back green area with a gazebo, picnic tables and benches. Maintenance and upkeep have been wonderful. Like when we moved in, all the flooring was replaced and updated. They have a maintenance person on-site, so any time there is an issue, you just talk to him, and he will take care of it. He hung up my parents' paintings and their decorations in their apartment. The place is very clean and very nice. They have been doing a great job. They have been very good. They have been great at communicating with me, too, which is very nice. They accept pets, and that's one of the huge things. My parents had a concern with their dog last night, and the members called me to just say, 'We haven't heard from your parents for a while. They went to the emergency vet and we're just worried about them.' So they're good at checking in and making sure and taking an interest in their lives."

"My mother has moved into Wellington Place of Rib Mountain. She hasn't accepted the move well. She's in memory care. The staff is very friendly, very helpful, and very patient. I had looked at six different places before we chose them and I was very happy with their cleanliness. It's very bright and cheery."

"My mother is at Copperleaf Memory Care of Schofield. We chose it because of its location, availability, and services. I am very pleased. The staff are excellent. It is new and it is very nice, but they are lacking some storage in the bathroom. It is very clean."

"The Renaissance Assisted Living in Weston/Wausau was an excellent facility. I highly recommend it. I've met the staff many times. They're very good. They offer meals. On Fridays, they always had a get-together with music and snacks and drinks for people. They did a luau one time when my friend was there and they had friends come in, so they do a lot of activities. They have a hairdresser onsite. They have a little library. The other nice thing is they have physical therapy and nursing home care there, so if there's a couple in there and one of them ends up going into nursing care, they're close. I just feel like these are all very big pluses."

"The rooms are large with clean and spacious private bathroom. Staff were all friendly and helpful with all needs, I can tell they truly cared for my Grandpa. The floor staff, kitchen workers, receptionist, and management were all wonderful, which is rare to find these days. They had a lot of activity options, they even had a car show weekend, live music, happy hour, and all sorts of stuff that my Grandpa has been doing! The facility has been very clean every time I have seen it, including my Grandpa's room. Any question or concern has been addressed fast, and often it is the woman that runs the whole place that answers questions and helps out. My Grandpa has been nothing but happy with Pride and so has my family!"

"Cedar Creek Manor II has been great, and it's just what my parents needed. There's a whole lot more assistance that they get because there's a much higher staff to resident ratio. There's one staff person for every four residents, and they're wonderful. I have a cousin living there as well. The food is great. They have exercise classes, Bingo, board games, they decorated Christmas trees and cookies, they had entertainers coming in, sing-alongs, religious activities, Catholic rosary a couple times a month, worship services on the weekend, and they have Catholic mass on Sunday mornings in the TV room. It's a community based residential facility, and they're licensed for heavy care, which means people who need a lot more care than just an assisted living place. In the morning, they have people who come into their room and get them up, clean them up, dress them, and help them go to the dining room for breakfast and to the activities. They have lots of help far more than what you'd get in an assisted living situation. You certainly get what you pay for."

"I toured Cedar Creek Manor I. The facility was clean and they had activities for my father. The person giving the tour was one of the owners and it was very nice talking directly to her. Things that didn't impress me were a communal bathroom. They had activities for the seniors there. The staff was very friendly. The other staff came by and said hello. The residents seem to be happy. They had their room and it was smaller, but they didn't need that much room."
