"Stoney River is absolutely beautiful, and caring, kind people work there. They have a relaxation room, they play games like catch and ping pong, and they have activities all the time. They must have monitored the salt in the food, because mother did not get swollen legs there. It is a great facility to put someone and not have to worry about their care. "

"Atrium Senior Living was a beautiful facility, they have birds in cages on the lower level, and it’s kind of relaxing. But I wasn’t impressed as you never saw nurse at the nursing station; there was no one to answer the call. I remember standing there one time as the person that I visited needed help so I went down as they won’t answer her call. But as far as the facility goes, it’s new and beautiful."

"Cranberry Court was very nice. The staff was very good. The director was very good at working with us. The food was OK. My father-in-law just wasn't used to eating substantial food like sandwiches. The facility was very clean and very good. They had a lot of activities."

"We stopped in to check out the Harmony of Wisconsin Rapids as we were in the vicinity looking at assisted living options for our aunt. We needed to come earlier than planned, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The manicured outside grounds looked spacious and well kept will plenty of room for parties and for residents to enjoy easily and safely. The main rooms were nicely decorated and the residents seemed quite happy. The activities looked interesting, from local entertainment, to cultural happenings in the region. Residents are encouraged to participate in everything -- from outdoor outings such as nature walks, to in-house events. The snacks offered looked healthy and delicious; the staff encouraged everyone to eat regularly, including healthy snacks that are offered throughout the day. The food we tried was delicious. They make every effort to accommodate as many tastes and dietary needs as possible. Our aunt would really like their menu options, which seemed to have a lot of variety. The library was nicely stocked - and we were told that many of the residents are avid readers, like our aunt is. She would particularly like the garden area, where many of the residents spend quality time. The residents here all looked well cared for and happy; we could see our aunt blending in well here. "

"My aunt is at Hilltop of Pepper. I have been going there for several years, and I like the place. The times I've been there, I would give them a five because they are friendly, and my aunt's room is beautiful. You can go outside, but you can't get out of there unless you go through the main door; it is a locked place. I have been there when she was eating, and she liked it although I didn't taste it myself. They asked if I'd like to eat, but I didn't have that much time to stay. At one point when I was there, my aunt was in distress because of mouth sores or so, and I didn't know where to find the staff person because it was during lunchtime, and the one that there was the cook, so I mentioned it to the cook, and the cook went and got one of the gals that takes care of that kind of thing. She came and looked at it, and then she went and got some medication, put it on my aunt, and took care of it. "

"While I only visited the facility a handful of times, I could tell my my grandmother was quite happy with the accommodations. The staff was very kind and courteous. The room she was in was spacious and allowed for a great deal of privacy. She had her own bathroom and small kitchen area but she could get assistance at any time needed. They provided cooked meals and I did sample some lunch one Sunday afternoon and I must admit it was quite delicious. Their also seemed to be a a lot comradeship among the people staying their grandma introduced me to a few of her friends and I could see they were pretty well acquainted. I was completely satisfied with the care she was receiving. "

"Hilltop Grand Village has several amenities, the rooms are larger than any of the places that we visited, and the facility is brand new and not rundown. The staff are wonderful and are very good people. The place is in an ideal location. My mom just recently moved in and she's fine. She's doing scheduled activities during the day, like meals, swimming, and exercising. The food is good."

"Wisconsin Rapids has a smaller tone, and the people are friendly overall. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions immediately. They did their job, and everybody seemed to want to be there. "

"I visited the Brown's Assisted Living Center approximately two weeks ago for a job interview. During the time there, I saw some things that sparked my attention. The first thing I noticed was the decor. While it looked lovely on the outside, the inside was furnished with antique looking furnishings, and just felt very old and uncomfortable. It is important to note that the assisted living home is not for elderly; it is for mentally disabled patients of various ages.I got to see the staff interacting with the patients, and thought they did a fairly well job. They interacted with them in an more personal environment, doing things that included watching television and playing games with the patients.The manager of the facility was not the friendliest person in the world, and I was not impressed with her attitude. It does concern me to think of how she would be interacting with the patients. Overally, I believe the patient's do get good care at Brown's Assisted Living, but the atmosphere should be more welcoming and better furnished. "

"My mom is in Arborwood Lodge. They were very good with the activities. Right now they have had questionable COVID outbreaks, so they haven't had any activities for the last two weeks. They're trying to do things with them in their rooms. Before, they had bingo, different social get togethers in the afternoon, walking club, and chair exercise in the morning, and videotaped church services. Their meals are very inconsistent. The evening meals tend to be very small. Like last evening they had sandwiches. It doesn't really seem to be as nutritionally sound as the big meals, and those seem to be fairly good. Breakfast is excellent. Breakfast is always really good. I guess it's because of the size of the meals as far as the evening meal."

"Point Manor is a nice place, and they keep it clean. There are 3 floors, and the first floor that my mother's on is the assisted living. They have their own private bathroom and a little kitchenette area where there is a microwave and a sink. It's not a big complex. My mother is perfectly happy there. I think they have a very varied menu. I feel the caregivers are nice people, and they care about their patients. They've gone out of their way since they know we now live two and a half hours away instead of just 2 miles from her. Overall, it's a good place. They had all kinds of things from arts and crafts, they play different games on weekly basis, bingo, apples to apples, they have musical people come in, and different events that they can socialize the residents. The staff does activities as far as picnics, Christmas parties, and family get togethers with potlucks. I think they do a pretty good job with the activities. "
