I was at River Run Assisted Living for 10 days. I wouldn't stay any longer. That place was horrible. I didn't get out really, so I don't know what the grounds outside looked like. On the inside, it was nice working. But they shouldn't be allowed to say that they're in rehab. When I went from the hospital to there, I was told that I would be getting a lot more rehab than I was getting in the hospital, but in fact, it was the opposite. I barely got any rehab whatsoever while there. They would take me down there for half an hour to an hour, but I did more sitting than anything. If I got five minutes of rehab, I was surprised, and that was just walking around the table once and sittig down, and that's what they considered rehab. There was one nurse that really knew her job and did it well. And any of the other nurses, forget it! I didn't get my medication on time. There were times that I didn't get any medication at all, so that was bad. The first night I was there, I fell and got hurt, and they didn't make a report. I took a few pictures of the bruising on my face from it. There were times that they didn't bring my meal. Other times I didn't get anything to drink. I told my family to come and get me or I was going to walk home. It was that bad. In terms of activities, they had a magician come in one time while I was there, and that was interesting. I played bingo once. Other than that, there were no activities that I was aware of. There was no dining area because meals were brought to our room. They had a variety of food, but the food was awful. Some of those people should not be working in the profession that they're in. Others, I think, need training or retraining.

My mother was in rehab at the Atrium Senior Living of Wisconsin Rapids. My experience wasnt very good, and I didnt think the care was very good. We went there at 8:30 at night, and she still had all clothes on. No one helped her get dressed. The level of care wasnt very good, and the rehab was basically a joke. I would not recommend that place. The room was awful, very dreary, and Im sure they picked out the sheets and blankets at a Goodwill. A few of the staff were very good and very caring, very conscientious, but that was two out of the many who would service her. I would give those two a 4 or 5.

We toured Atrium Senior Living of Wisconsin Rapids at River Run. It seemed a little run-down, and it was difficult to get in touch with anyone. They had a dining room area, a meeting room, a very nice walking area outside, and a garage. There wasn't anything super special about the place.

Atrium Senior Living was a beautiful facility, they have birds in cages on the lower level, and it’s kind of relaxing. But I wasn’t impressed as you never saw nurse at the nursing station; there was no one to answer the call. I remember standing there one time as the person that I visited needed help so I went down as they won’t answer her call. But as far as the facility goes, it’s new and beautiful.
