"My mother is in Lasata Senior Living Campus. I haven't been able to go inside at all, but she's happy there. I chose that location because it's centrally located to her family. Right now she's in a single room, but she'll be moving to a double room. They have activities, they have outings, and indoor gaming. She will also be involved in therapy. They have a courtyard that has benches, they have plenty of parking, and stuff like that. The staff has been really good and helpful. The place looks nice from the outside, it's not a new building, but they've done some remodeling inside."

"I enjoyed my time at Cedar Springs, there were certain things I loved and others I did not. I really liked how they allowed people to bring in dogs and go visit with the residents. Animals are a great way to make people happy. The staff was not very friendly and upbeat, which was sad. There was not a large variety of amenities and most of the residents sat in their rooms all day.The facilities were clean and neat, except for the one storage room. There were boxes piled higher than you could see with items falling out. Other than that room it was very clean. I really enjoyed visiting time with the residents where I would go door to door and chat with each of them. "

"New administration has made great changes in the facility. Newly remodeled rooms and updates. Staff is friendly and caring and the therapy dog on staff is a great addition to the building and hit with the residents. "

"I picked LindenGrove Menomonee Falls because it was recommended. Also, it's in Menominee Falls, so it was close by. My sister could come and visit me and take care of things for me. It's a very clean facility. The staff is outstanding. I can't say enough about them. They treat us very, very nicely. I think it deserves a 5-star rating. It's an awesome facility. I would recommend it to anyone. They are an outstanding staff. They really care about you here. Their food is obviously made in large quantities, but it's good. There's nothing bad about it. It's very clean, and the staff is always right here. The maintenance crew is good. It's a nice place to rehab, and their therapy department is outstanding. They have bingo once a week, and they give out prizes and stuff when you get a bingo. That's always fun to get out of the room, where it would last for about an hour or so. Today they had Shetland ponies come, so it's pretty cool. They also do a Vegas day, and that's like once a month. They play poker with cards, and we play as a group. They also have live music come, too. They try to get the residents all involved. It's worth the money for the care you get here."

"Linden Grove Menomonee Falls was pretty nice but was also pretty expensive. They didn't offer a lot of services. They had nice apartments. You would pay more money if you wanted an apartment overlooking the lake, which is really just a little pond. The rooms were nice, clean, and well-kept. The size was fine. You could get a one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or studio apartment. The apartments ranged in size from maybe 500 to 1100 square feet. You had to cook your own food there. They had very few amenities beyond the apartment. "

"I was in Alexian for the full time that Medicare allowed for broken ankle. I had some problems initially because I arrived on a Saturday and that completely threw them off, and so my wheelchair was too wide and didn’t fit me. They knew I needed a wheelchair, a walker and a chair, but the wheelchair was too wide that I could barely roll it and the walker was too low for me and couldn’t be adjusted because it was broken. And then, I sat on the chair and it went down and wouldn’t go up. So I kept complaining that I needed a different wheelchair, a different walker, and a different chair. Eventually, on Monday I got all the right stuff. It’s a big residential place and a lot of people live in the apartments. This was a separate 20 or 30-bed unit and I was there for a short-term stay, and so I had very intensive therapy every day. I could barely turn around and there was another therapist there, and they really made you work, which is what you’re supposed to do. So I had a little time to do other things than eat and sleep and then went home on time as scheduled. I got excellent care from the therapist but I wasn’t crazy about the nursing assistants. The rest of the staff was very cooperative. The nursing care was good; they listened and did what they needed to do. The meals were always good. There were a lot of fresh fruits. My menu always said diabetic on it, but they never really restricted what they brought me. They have a lot of different pieces of equipment, but they are not the elaborate commercial kind of things. "

"I have to say that all the staff at Newcastle are stars! My mother lives in Independent Living and recently broke her wrist. When she fell the rapid responder was there to attend to her. When I went to see her, outside of course, she was very supportive of both my mother and me on deciding what to do next. The staff helped me find the extra help that my mother needed...and even the help as simple as helping her zip her coat! My mother loves the cooking and art classes and the Bingo too!"

"My husband was at the Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center for six weeks, and I can't say enough about them. They were very, very good to him. We were going there for therapy to get him to walk, and to get his throat muscles back so that he could eat. He was on a feeding tube, so he could not take anything by mouth, which was difficult -- not even water, and he was doing pretty good with the exercises and trying to talk, and he was doing good with his walking. He had to have a walker, but he was doing pretty good until he took a turn for the worse. He shared a room with another man who had Parkinson's, so it got a little crowded from time to time because of the machinery that they needed. They needed a lift in order to get the other gentleman out of bed and get him in a wheelchair and stuff. So it wasn't that the rooms weren't spacious enough, it was just that between the wheelchairs and everything else that they had to use for both men, it became a little crowded and we had to keep moving the chairs out. But the nursing home itself, the help, the nurses, the doctor, everybody was super. I can't say enough about them. "

"My mom moved into Dickson Hollow. It's good, but some of the R.A.'s are questionable. The activities are very good, it's outstanding, it's just that the lower-level staff is questionable at best, but I think everybody has issues with that. My mom's room is outstanding, and she likes the food very much."

"My sisters and I chose this facility because it was clean and close to all of our homes. We had also never heard anything negative about it. I visited my father 2-3 times a week-unannounced. We had purchased him some clothes, but most of them were stolen by the staff-even though we put his name on them with black markers. Even his new underwear were stolen. There were activities for the residents and the food looked reasonably healthy. The staff seemed friendly, but it seems they had a high turnover rate with the certified nursing assistants. I sometimes visited on 1st or 2nd shift and rarely saw the same CNA's. When my father became more ill, he went into the hospital. We went to his nursing home room to get his clothes because we were told by his doctor that he was too ill to be returning to the nursing home. When we arrived, they had already had his clothes packed and someone else was in his bed when we went to his room. I was disgusted by this because it showed me how important money was to this facility and that they had no consideration for his family. "

"The staff in ManorCare Health Services (Heartland Health) in Pewaukee are all very professional and good, they work hard, and they do their best. They have shared rooms with two beds per room. Everyone was really nice except for one staff member that I met. The food is like hospital food, breakfast is the same every morning, but lunch is different because my husband has to have low-sodium diet."

"Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has a very good therapy department for clinical rehab. Their nursing aides and CNAs are outstanding, and most of the people are real nice there. I'd recommend this for anybody. I stayed there for 3 months maybe. The rooms are fine. The laundry comes around every day, and you get your clothes back the next day. It's clean. If I have to be in a nursing and rehab situation, that would be my first choice. "

"Luther Manor has a full continuum of services, which is a good thing for elderly people who just need some help to begin with and might have to move on to skilled nursing eventually. They had pretty good activities. I liked the people that run the activities and do the rehab. The staff was very good. The room that my father had was on the lower level, but it needed some rejuvenation because it was a little musty. Otherwise, they took very good care of him. The food was decent. They give people the option of what they want to eat. Overall, it was a pretty good place. If he had been on a different floor for the skilled nursing and his rehab, I would have probably let him stay there. I would recommend them. He got very good care. They were very protective of him and they watched over him. I just didn't like the unit that he was in. It was not as bright and uplifting as the other place."

"Staff was friendly and professional. Rooms cleaned several times a week. Food was very nutritious and portions appropriate. Nurses were friendly and professional and answered all questions I had. Aides were kind and helpful. Rehab was amazing. Goals were met and I was home as planned."
