"My husband is in Laurel Oaks. By the nature of his disease, he is very unhappy. But the place itself and what they offer is as good as can be considering the type of clientele they have. I always feel they are shorthanded; their staff isn't enough, which is understandable because it is a hard job. This is the only negative, and it is not terribly negative because they are working very hard there. I know that they are doing their best. The upkeep is decent. The food is 50/50. Everybody is complaining, not only in the Alzheimer's unit, but even in the assisted living. The activities are very good. Every day, they have activities almost every hour. They have the staff for it, and there are no complaints about it. "

"The rooms are on the smaller side but are kept clean. The food is good, from what I have had myself. My loved one who resides there says it is a bit on the bland side. The staff has been spectacular to interact with. They are friendly and very caring towards the residents and their families. They all seem to like what they are doing. It is definitely a place I feel comfortable with having a loved one live and be cared for. It is not a huge facility where she is just a number, but part of a community."

"The apartments at LakeHouse Menomonee are pretty good size. I talked to a couple of the residents there and they seemed happy. The staff was excellent. It just needs new carpeting in the hallways, but even though it's older, it's clean. It feels very comfortable to be in there, saying hello to various staff. I spoke at length to one of the residents, and she was quite nice to talk to. I think it was a friendly area."
