I've been visiting regularly. The staff is very attentive. It's very well maintained. They have worship service onsite and supervised exercise classes. Whatever they're charging the people, it's worth it."

"I liked everything about Laurel Oaks Senior Living. It was just out of my financial bracket. The staff was very professional and friendly. They had everything that I was looking for and all the activities that they utilize there. The one bedroom was nice. It was a little smaller than what I wanted, but I couldn't afford it anyway. You would have to choose at least one meal a day with them there and that was something that wasn't quite interesting to me. I prefer making my own meals. The dining room was nice. It was a very pleasant atmosphere that I experienced there. It was immaculate."

"Harbour Village was a large complex, and my mother felt she would be more comfortable in a smaller-sized community. For her, it was overwhelming, but the facility was attractive and modern. The director was extremely accommodating. It had a very nice, very welcoming atmosphere. They had a little bistro area off the main entry. It looked like the residents were very happy and comfortable. I told the director that I would not hesitate to promote them to anybody who is looking for a senior facility. "

"We toured Discovery Commons Brookfield. I viewed a one-bedroom apartment. It was very nice. It's a beautiful facility. It's quite glamorous. It's larger. I thought it looked nice. They take care of their employees very well. I was told that they're really into making their employees happy, which will make the residents happy. They offer a lot of care for assisted living. My first impression is that the people aren't quite as sick as they are at the other facility. They rejected my aunt at the last minute. They did an assessment, which was rushed. Maybe they don't feel capable for people who need a lot of care and daily attention. My aunt is still somewhat bedbound. It hasn't been that long since she had her surgery. She needs a lot of physical therapy. She's 100 years old. You can't expect her to be in the condition of a 70-year-old, I guess, which is what I'm getting at. The staff that I met, the director and her assistant, were good. It's very clean and organized. They had a library. It's two-story, and the hallways are so long. I mean, I kept picturing my aunts navigating those halls."

"I visited Village at the Falls. The staff was very friendly, and it was an enjoyable place to visit. The facilities that they had for seniors looked like it would work very well to help the seniors. The rooms were clean and adequate. They have a quiet room activity, a place for speaking, and a place for meeting. The facility was sort of away from city activities but still close, and they have bus trips also for the seniors who like to be active and do those types of things. "
