"Laurel Oaks Senior Living looked very clean and well-maintained. The staff and residents were friendly. Everything looked very comfortable. Some of the rooms are spacious, and some are not large, so you get to pick whatever suits you. I was looking at independent living, but the assisted living people move in among the independent living people if they want to go to the dining room or go for the entertainment and social things they have. I looked at the menu, and it looked like good things. They had several community rooms and a physical training room. They have a very nice dining room, a library, and a beauty or barbershop. The prices were posted, and they looked very, very reasonable. It seems like a top-notch facility. I met some of their physical therapists and recreation planners. They seemed very competent, caring, and courteous. They have sidewalks that go past the house. There are city parks right next to them. They also let the residents plant in the gardens if they want to."

"I toured Hart Park Square Senior Living. I liked that they showed me several models. I liked that there's an emergency switch in each of the models, and they said you flip this one switch by 9 a.m. because if your light doesn't light up, they call you on. If you don't answer your phone, they come up and knock on your door. And, if you don't answer that, they use the key to come in and check on you. They supply all the appliances, like a stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The staff was congenial, answered my questions, and didn't rush me."

"Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living is so large that people have more places to walk from their room to the central area and stuff like that. They have a nice outdoor area, and it's easy access, too. The staff who gave me the tour was spot on. She answered all my questions, and the tour went pretty well. They have everything that we need for my mom's situation. It's an older building, but everything inside looks remodeled. It's a nice place."

"New Perspective West Bend is new and looks like a fancy resort; it's really upper-class. We walked in and it was really nice, but the price is high too. We saw the food and it looked perfect. We saw them doing activities with the residents, although they mostly have the same activities as other places. They're doing a good job. Everything is nice, clean, and they take care of the residents."

"Cedar Community is fine, but I chose a different facility because of the floor plan and amenities. For me Cedar was a little bit too remote, the actual place was out in the country. I didn't want to do that. The layout of the facility was fine. The staff was friendly but she was a little bit late getting to us. They did a lot of protocols for Covid which is fine. Nothing special but it was a tour. The apartments were small than the ones from the facility we have chosen. They also had fewer places to store things so that was also a concern. They also didn't have a full kitchen, I didn't like that they only have a microwave in them. There weren't as many social gathering places as other place that I've seen. They had outdoor spaces though. They mentioned that they have a lot of activities but of course they don't do most of them at the moment. It's been a few weeks since I was there so I can't remember what they did. I think it's still a good place, it's a nice rural settings if you like to be in a more rural setting."
