I toured. The facility looked very nice, but that was just one of the things. It was neat and clean. The dining room was nice. They had also offered that if you wanted room service, they could bring your meal to the room, and the bedrooms were generous in size. The staff was very informative and friendly, and provided me with all the information that I needed to take along. They had an exercise area and a gathering area. Then, their activity schedule, I was provided with different things that they offer there.

We had a lovely tour. We liked that it was bright, clean, and smelled good. The staff seemed engaged with the residents and seemed like they had a lot of really good options for them. They had physical therapy and they allowed hospice in if needed. The room seemed very nice. The one that we were shown that was available would have been very adequate. It was a great-looking facility. They were like doing a singing thing and they were just all very engaged. Avery gave us the tour and pretty much everybody that he passed either waved to him or said hello. So, it's like nobody was hiding anything and nobody was putting on a show. They were all genuinely happy to be there and it seemed like a really pleasant, positive place. Avery would be one of the main reasons we'd want to go there. He was wonderful.

We toured. It was very clean. It's an older facility, and so it wasn't quite as bright and well-lit as the other place. There weren't as many big windows that let in the natural light, but the color scheme was very pleasing. The staff who toured us was a very well-informed young man. I think we got more individual information from him than we did from the other place. They allow pets, which was a prerequisite for me to even go look at a place. They provided me with the August activity calendar, and they have everything from card playing to crafts to movies. The whole month was full of activities. I had not planned on getting active because I'm a reader and I like to be by myself, but looking at that activity calendar, there were things there that I thought I would enjoy.

Our overall experience was good. The community was good. The staff was excellent. The rooms were good. It was a lovely tour. Their dining area was lovely. They were doing a sing-along when we walked through memory care. They had an outdoor patio and an enclosed deck outside.

I liked it for my sister. I could tell that it was an older building. It needs some more modern updates, but aside from that, it was clean, and it was very inviting and very nice looking inside. The staff was very friendly and actually, a lot of the residents that live there were very friendly also. It was a welcoming environment.

It seemed like a good place. They had good units and apartments in a nice setting, but it didn't provide the level of service we needed. The staff members were pleasant. The rooms were nice, sunny, and a good size.

It was nice and clean. I enjoyed being there. I felt my mom would have enjoyed it, if she could have got in. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming.

My mom will be moving in. There you can be in the same apartment and just transition from independent to assisted. It's very woodsy, their location, and they have nice balconies in their rooms. It's large and feels like nature rather than a hospital. The staff was very friendly. The residents were all out and about, doing puzzles, playing cards, and socializing. It just seemed like more of a homey place rather than institutionalized. Although I liked the person that was giving the tour, I had to ask her to see a lot of things. I asked where the storage lockers are, where the garbage goes, or where the laundry is. So, I was asking more of the questions; but she was very nice and very friendly. Once I asked the question, she showed them to me immediately. They have a beauty salon. They have an onsite doctor that comes in every two weeks. They have an onsite psychologist. They have a walking path with a pond where the residents go to feed ducks and turtles on site. They have a small library, dining, and kind of a separate area for their programs like their activities and exercise classes. They don't have a separate room for it, but it's like a cordoned-off area where a folding door closes. That's why we chose it because it felt woodsier and kind of protected and not being wide and out in the open with bad views.
