"willow brook has the most amazing staff and wonderful fun activities for everyone! my mom loves the art and of course happy hour on Thursdays! the apartments are beautiful and the facility is extremely clean and well kept."

"I toured Laurel Oaks Senior Living and it was great. The entire facility, the staff, and all were accommodating of age, disability, and different personalities. I particularly liked the amenities and enjoyed the experience. The dining area is wide open and comfortable. It's not sterile, but rather clean, open, and airy, which is nice."

"My aunt stayed at Discovery Commons Brookfield, which was very nice but pricey. The people who worked there were wonderful. The facility was new and clean. It was state of the art, but parking was also a problem there. The rooms were smaller than the ones I looked at for my mom, but they were very nice. They did have very nice walk-in showers with a seat hanging from the wall, which was very nice so my aunt could be independent in showering herself. I ate lunch with my aunt, and the food was very good."

"I toured Hart Park Square Senior Living. I liked the availability of the stores across the bridge where I could just drive over there. And I liked the fact that I could make sure my car was not going to be burglarized or anything. You had a choice between a studio and an apartment. The apartment was very huge. I could put my furniture in there and I felt comfortable in it. I could also bring my dog. It had all the stuff in the kitchen and it had a lot of places where you could put your own things. They also had a dishwasher. The staff was very aware of everything I needed and pointed out the things I wanted to know about. They had a library, a room for cooking classes, and an area for entertainment. They also had a nice area where you could walk out around the place. You had a choice between 2 meals a day and you could sit wherever you want. I had lunch there and it was very nice food."

"My aunt and uncle live in here. I have visited them many times there. When we knew we had to put my mom into assisted living, we thought that she could go there, because she would have her family and she's already familiar with the spaces, but they don't have the type of care that she needs. Other than that, the staff was amazing. It's a newer facility. The facilities are beautiful. My aunt and uncle moved in when it was brand new. They have a state-of-the-art rehab facility, a movie theater, a little cafe where residents can come and read their morning paper, and a community room that has a big baby grand piano in it and where they can have happy hour and social time with the other residents. They have a beautiful back patio and all these little reading nooks for those who wanted to leave their private space/apartment. It's really lovely. They do painting classes and my aunt loves it, too."

"I toured Library Square Senior Living. The thing I liked best about it was it was very clean. Everybody there seemed to be well taken care of and very upbeat. The things I didn't like, I don't think there were too many things. It's like being located on a bus line, so I would have transportation. The fire station is a couple of blocks down, so the ambulances would be very close. There's a grocery store about four blocks down, so you could go grocery shopping. The only thing I would say about it is it's not in a location where there'd be a lot of stores. However, I like the fact that it's placed behind the West Dallas Public Library and you almost can't see it. So it's very secluded. I like that part. They had a little store where you could pick up little things, laundry detergent if we needed it, and snacks and things like that. They also had a beauty shop there. They had a lot of areas like a puzzle area where if you liked to work on puzzles there was always a couple going on and people were there. There was a library. There was a TV room and an exercise area. I haven't had any food there, however, the chef was there talking to us a little bit, and from the things he was talking about, it sounded like it was pretty good food. The staff was wonderful. She spent a lot of time with me and made sure that we traveled through the whole facility to see everything and showed me several rooms, not just one. So, that was good."
