While this facility offers a multitude of services and facilities for its residents, I was overall disappointed in the care that my grandmother received while she stayed there. They do have a vision center, small store, beauty shop, as well as a variety to indoor and outdoor gathering spaces which are very nice for residents, but I believe that the facility is too large. While they are probably following state mandates it seems that there are too many residents per caregivers and the space is too large for many of the people to navigate on their own. The best part about this facility is the small section for sub acute rehabilitation and physical therapy. The therapy was great and really seems to benefit the people that are staying for a short period of time. This area is much smaller and seems to have the same pool of nurses and CNAs most of the time. The dining area is much smaller and residents get more individualized attention during meals. This is not the case in the area of general population at this facility. There the dining areas are large and people wait a very long time for food and often times much longer to get assistance getting back to their rooms. When people need assistance they seem to wait much longer for a response for their room buzzers and there are only buttons available on the beds and in the bathrooms. If they are out of reach it could be over an hour before they are found if something happens.
