"It is new and looks like a fancy resort; it's really upper-class. We walked in and it was really nice, but the price is high too. We saw the food and it looked perfect. We saw them doing activities with the residents, although they mostly have the same activities as other places. They're doing a good job. Everything is nice, clean, and they take care of the residents."

"My dad used to live here several years ago. He loved the food and I had lots of meals with him which were free for me. I went in to visit a friend of mine who moved in a couple weeks ago and WOW they made made a ton of updates. The place looks great. A lot of the same people work there which was nice to see - many of them remembered me too which reinforced I picked a great place for my dad. If you are looking around this place is the only place you need to see."

"I have someone as a resident at StoryPoint Mequon and I'm her caretaker. I like the environment, the people who are here, and how they treat people. It's like a family. It's a good place and it's clean. The apartments have everything. They have a refrigerator and a microwave, and they come clean for you every time. They have a dining room, which is nice. Every lunch, dinner, and breakfast, we have different stuff on the menu. You choose what you want. If you have your favorite food, they can serve you that. I like the way they work with the people here and they train the CNAs well. Sometimes, the food is good. It depends on the chef. There's bingo and a group comes with a friendly dog. We have exercise twice or three times a week. There's a happy hour, and there's a bistro. They have an event each day. We have a musician that comes like three times a week. They have buses, so sometimes they take people out to lunch or dinner and appointments. It's worth it. When they bring the dog here, we can walk the dog outside. We have a pretty good space to walk."

"Village at the Falls was a nice place. They have a lot of good things, but I just can’t afford it. The rooms were great. The colors were nice in there, and the carpeting was very nice. The staff people were very nice, very cordial, and answered all of your questions. The food was a good restaurant meal. If I had the money, I would probably live there. "

"I did a tour of Laurel Oaks Senior Living. We like it, that's number one. I think it would be a perfect fit for my mom so that she still has some kind of freedom. The programs that they offer meet what we were looking for in terms of nutrition and helping with her glucose. The biggest thing that we're struggling with is her diabetes; she needs glucose monitoring. Their programs in terms of entertainment and activities seemed like they would be more than well enough so that she wouldn't get bored. The staff was very friendly and seemed like they know what they're doing. I don't have to worry about the professional side of stuff. The location is perfect; I don't think that would be for every family, but it's just like a couple of minutes away from our house. That's why we were interested in it. In the public areas, they would use for activities, they just make sure that it is clean. With patients that may display symptoms, they try their best to not have them leave their room. They can't space it out six feet apart because their attendance for certain stuff varies. They did say that they have like a maximum amount of how many attendees they can have, but it's not like spaced apart with the six feet."

"Deciding to put my mom in Assisted Living was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. My mom has Alzheimer's disease. Being her daughter, I wanted to do what she requested which was to stay in her home. I was able to honor her request for 6 months, but as time went on she needed more care. As we walked into The Waterford, the staff welcomed her with open arms and they put her mind at ease (and mine). And to top it off, she is allowed to have her dog right beside her! I will be forever grateful to everyone at The Waterford for taking such good care of my mom."

"Discovery Commons North Shore was very nice and very clean. The people were nice. My mom passed away a month ago. We ended up putting her there, and it was excellent all the way to the end. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! The care was excellent. The manager of the area was good. When you walk in, people always greet you with a smile. They just treated you royally. It's very clean, and it doesn't stink. They could do a little bit better with the food. My mother said, "I don't want to see another hot dog. I'm sick of hot dogs." They cooked a lot of hot dogs for lunch every day. They need better variety and better food. In terms of activities, they always get something going. It was very expensive, though. It was $8,995 a month. The care and the medical stuff that they had to do were okay, but the food was what really brought it down."
